Thanks for the info being posted here. Will come in handy to a first timer like me too.

Just out of curiosity - do any of you guys know if there's going to be a pit walkabout on thursday this year?

You're talking about the bridge at the Limburg-border, Omega? Because the ones we are talking about certainly have only been there for the past 6 months.

Also, honestly, it's equally as bad in every single part of our country.

I swear there's roadworks everywhere near where I live as well, bloody annoying!

Cheers for all the advice guys! Hopefully it'll be a mega weekend.

Parlez-vous français monsieur Phil? :p

Although the mediacenter people speak English, even when you try your best French (assholes), so you should be OK.

I oblige you to do a full lap around the track though (if your access allows it to pass through Gold stands etc)

Oui, un petit peu, mais Je parle Francais comme une vache Espagnol :p

Yeah, I guess it'll be mainly English in the paddock. Not sure what access is like for me, but if I can get trackside, then I'll try. It's maybe more difficult for a smaller publication + I guess with recent restrictions the photographers' delegate will be busier. But If I can, I'll do a car comparison like I did at Silverstone. We're allowed to run the track at some point, but it's 7k. Too long :p

I think you can see Eau Rouge from the paddock, I'll wait and see.

wtf, you're going to a legendary circuit for the first time, one you really like going by the Eau Rouge pic that you used as avatar on autosport forum, and you won't walk all the way through it because of it's length?!

Come on, 7k isn't that long even for one busy with covering the GP professionally :p

It does depend what I have to do/what happens. I can't just waltz in and grab a photo tabard...

If you're only going to hang around in the paddock I will personally come slap you in the face

As I said, it depends what access is like & whether I get a tabard. I'd love to get trackside, but I do have to do work...

Stay in the paddock and you will hate yourself a lot when you get back home. I've had to do work there as well, just plan it well :p (yes, I will continue to give reasons)

No, I'm talking about 2-3 km before the exit to Francorchamps, or somewhere in that area. Don't know exactly anymore because sometimes I take the next exit to go to Les Combes. There have been works there for many years.

I'll be at Spa. I've managed to get a GP2 paddock pass :) let's hope I'll see some track action from there.

Planning to go to Spa on Friday. What other (cheaper) options do we have beside parking at the yellow, green etc. parking zones?

There are still tickets available for Friday, but parking tickets are sold out on every website i've looked. So i'd like to know if its worth it to go to Spa without a parking ticket

I read that a lot of local farmers open up fields for parking.

yup, one of the best places is near La Source. You need to turn left at the long right hander towards the track, should be 10€ for the day I think
