It's a shame that instead of discussing the final result of the race/championship, everyone is debating the controversy thanks to the shoddy job Race Control did today. And let's be honest they've done an extremely inconsistent job all season. As Rosberg pointed out in the post-race, they certainly need to tighten up the rules with regards to driving standards for passing.
But putting that aside and focusing on the competitors, you have to admit that with the opportunities that were presented today to Red Bull and Verstappen, they made the most of them, took some ballsy risks and it paid off spectacularly.
Regardless of what Race Control did, both drivers were worthy champions this year and of course I can certainly see why Mercedes would be feeling like they got royally screwed, but in all fairness with what was thrown Verstappen's way this season, it's not like it feels unfair or unjust at all that he won the championship, even if in controversial circumstances. So bravo to him and Red Bull for getting the job done when it mattered, and giving us an explosive end to the championship.
