I will be going to the Chinese GP (my first F1 race ever :D ), as I'll be there in april (I'm going on a trip: Brussels-Sjanghai-North Korea (yep the northern part!)-Beijing-Brussels).
Has any of you ever been there? At the moment I doubt whether to choose the K or H (at the hairpin) area.

Any suggestion will be welcome

Might be off to Barcelona for the final day of the second test ... a long-time friend is going to be there with Autosport, and I'm mainly going to see him but the fact that he's in the country for an F1 test doesn't hurt.

All these foreign holidays and now a Grand Prix!

It's nice to know that during these current times of austerity and rations that money still grows on trees for some people!

Vive la révolution!

Spa this year, bronze tickets. I do need some advice about campsites etc, I'm looking for a place where campfires, music etc are allowed. Can anyone help me?

Abandoned Spa this year due to people inconsiderately getting married that weekend. Will be heading to Monza instead, has anyone been? Any thoughts on grandstands?

Now confirmed as going to Friday of testing next week ... I'll be sure to let you know conclusively which car is definitely going to be the fastest all season based on my full and complete empirical observations. Taking my bike for ease of circuit navigation, and if they open the track then I'll do a lap ... this seems like something they might do, at least in my head where I like to imagine things happening the way I would like.

Abandoned plans for Hungary and booked Silverstone with my flatmate and college friend. Will try not to moan too much this year. :p

Both myself and Tobias have been to Monza (in separate years).

I've been infield both times, on start / finish straight. One year in a Grandstand just after the pit exit and the other year standing in a public area just before the pit entrance.

If I had a choice I'd go for the main grandstand on the start / finish straight. I believe that's where Tobias was in 2008.

Get camping at the track. It's a bit pricey but well worth it IMO. Glorfindel and I camped there in 2010. Parties every night and a 2 minute stumble to the track entrance (we were in the campsite behind Les Combes, just next to the old part of the track). Rudimentary facilities but I've seen worse (Glastonbury!)

I did about every stand possible on Friday '08. Best to me was exit of Ascari because there was no catchfencing blocking the view and you actually had a view of the cars which lasted longer than 5 seconds. For the race I was sat at the first chicane (6C if I recall correctly). A good place, no catchfancing either, but probably the corner I like least of Monza. I wouldn't recommend the straight, a waste of money.

Is that an official campsite, or just a grassfield made into a campsite just for this weekend? I've heard about this as well, guess no reservations are possible?

No, you need to get tickets for it as well from the Spa website. It is just a field, but then most campsites are! They do have some rudimentary facilities though.

Does Spa have GA ticket for Friday or Saturday only? I have searched a little bit but haven't found nothing so far.

Had it confirmed yesterday that I'm off to Silverstone; nowhere to stay though so a 90 minute (without traffic!) commute each way each day! :p
