Maybe is was just talking about formula one tracks...
For me, Spa is definitely my favourite, it's my second home when im in belgium. Stay the all Sunday on the top of the raidillon is great, and you always see the same peoples, like racefan on his scale :p

surely you can't compare a real track with an oval track? (unless you mean the infield)

I saw it live on tv, but for some reason I taped the race on video. Since then I have watched it maybe 15 times or more, great entertainment on an occasional lonely evening.

First the crash, then the restart, Hill fighting with Schumacher, Schumacher into Coulthard, Fisi into Nakano and finaly Hill winning in a Jordan one-two.

It just didn't stop, best race I ever saw

are you belgian?
If so, was it with commentary from Kanaal 2 with Peter Baert in that time?

That is correct. Good ol' Peter Baert.

I really hated that guy

Spa 1998 would be terrible if it happened this weekend, because knowing what they're like about red flags nowadays, they wouldn't stop the race after the pile-up and the ten remaining cars would just circulated under the safety car for an hour before having a 20 lap race.

You never know. In 1997, they had a SC single line start because the track was very wet, eventhough it wasn't raining heavily at the time. One year later you would have expected them to be just as safe, yet they unleash the pack leading to a disaster.

Spa is still a great track, no matter how many times the FIA tried to ruin it already. Though, after watchiing the first races on the "new" circuit i didn't look like the old Spa anymore, just like any other ordinary track on the calender...

oh well, still looking forward to it

Small update on the weather for saturday and sunday

Quote:
Komend weekend wordt het wisselvallig en winderig met afwisselend opklaringen en wolkenvelden en daarbij is er steeds kans op een bui, vooral dan op zondag.

it's basicly saying that the weather will differ this weekend. Clouds, some sunshine, and showers. THe most likely day to have showers is on sunday.

Hopefully we'll get a mixed bag of weather on Sunday. Varying conditions always spice up the show.

Anyone who says an oval isn't a "real track" is an ignorant and should be burned.
