For sure Santander is out of Ferrari once Alonso is not there anymore

Santander will stay at Ferrari and fulfill their deal, I think they have a contract until 2015 oder 2016.

I would be surprised if there isn't a clause regarding Alonso participation in the team, meaning Santander is free to go if Alonso isn't there anymore...

Santander still use Jenson in their advertising, there's a life size cutout of Jenz in our local sales office, sorry branch.

Marussia still pushing to race at Abu-Dhabi & there's serious talks with an unknown group willing to take over the team.

Given how both Renault & Mercedes said they would leave if the new formula wasn't introduced & that Honda have said they only came back because they found the new formula appealing, I don't see why any of the manufacturer's would even agree to go back to the V8's.

Christian Horner whoooooo do you think you are?

Ferrari will still be no short of cash, aren't they still getting serious backing from Marlboro till at least the end of next year?

I see toto is worried all the in fighting amongst teams could harm f1,surely not because his team is winning?
Also he is now worried about double points, yet didn't raise it at the start when he had the chance. All the articles at the moment piss me off. Arguing as if they want to do what's best for the sport from the big team bosses, but between the lines you can see its just to benefit them.
This sport has me on the edge of giving it up. We lose one more team and I might. Grrrr. Angry morning.

The idea of upgraded GP2 cars for half the F1 grid has been discussed:

To be perfectly honest why not?

The cars crap so its going to finish last regardless of who's in it, Especially if Marussia don't show up. May as well put someone in the car to get as much publicity as possible if it may help them find the investment for 2015.

Heck put Susie Wolff in the other car, An all female team even for 1 race in a shit car will get the team a ton of publicity.

Because if you put two not very good female drivers in a not very good car, the likelihood is they won't qualify or will struggle badly, so there will be a big negative image about female racing drivers.

And anyway, Powell wouldn't get a Super License.

The article says that she does meet the criteria...

I guess the 107% rule hasn't been troubled in a while, so what the heck

Plus, she'd fit the pattern of female F1 drivers. They were not quite the eye-catchers that Danica, Simona and Susie are.

I can't work out how she does meet the criteria, I guess it's how 'finishing consistently in junior categories' works...

Straight from wiki but

Quote:
These requirements state that the driver must be either the reigning champion in a lower category of motor sport, for example Formula 3 (British, Italian or Japanese championship, or Euro Series), Formula 2, or GP2 Series (formerly known as Formula 3000), or must have consistently finished well in these categories. For example, a driver finishing in the first three positions five times within the last two years in GP2 will be eligible for a Super Licence.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alice_Powell#Racing_record

She doesn't fit any of it.

Or they're going by that BARC Formula Renault championship to let her have one :slaphead:

Well I suppose, they have given worse drivers superlicenses.
