that might be one of my all time favourite stories, but I always thought they had thrown the fridge while still at the track, not in a hotel room :p

I think you're right. The fridge doesn't seem to be in the same room that the table... isn't.

about getting trashed and partying I remember once reading a story involving Ayrton Senna and Gerhard Berger in one book that tells more personal parts of Senna's life

they were in a fancy nightclub in Bali and Ayrton drank a lot, almost puking in the bar, Berger took him to a garden so he could throw up better. But when Gerhard was aiding him, he placed Ayrton right in front of the glass that separates the outside garden from the bar and everyone saw Ayrton puking

I remember reading that Berger was the one who dragged Ayrton into night life and showed him how to party.

and Ayrton wasn't a heavy drinker either, he used to do that only during vacations

It was in the pit hospitality, and a large fridge at that, not a mini bar type.

The offending fridge and table

Wanna know how to cause the biggest "shitstorm" (I hate that word) ever?

Austin: Hamilton wins, Rosberg finishes second:

Hamilton: 316 (+25)
Rosberg: 292 (+18)

Brazil: Hamilton wins again, Rosberg retires because of a driving error

Hamilton: 341 (+25)
Rosberg: 292 (+0)

Abu Dhabi: Hamilton leads the whole GP, but retires because of a mechanical failure in the last couple of laps. Rosberg takes the win.

Rosberg: 342 (+50)
Hamilton: 341 (+0)

Frankly I hope it happens just to show how enormously fucked up the double points are.
Then again, they'll probably award double points for the last x races until that backfires again.

It would be a joke if Hamilton wins 10 races but doesn't win the championship because of double points.

I would personally be pissed off beyond limits if that happened, but to be fair that was the agreement when the season began. It's the same as for the 1988 season. People love "what ifs", but whining after the result is useless, this sort of measure should be refused from the get go before it's inked.

Let's hope it won't turn out that way.

I believe this season will be the only season with double points.

Do you have a link?

They already reviewed the double points for this year as there was some outcry about it, but somehow it lived to fight another day...

A Dutch website already claimed it was definite, but can't find it anymore. So far only this:

They should just make every race double points. That way they can say "we have double points" and that keeps everyone else happy too since no race is worth more than any other. :p

just remember that a 4th place finish in Abu Dhabi worths just one point less than a victory in Spa or Monaco

I have to admit, when the change was proposed, I was quite open to it. But throughout the season it just appeared to me what a load of nonsense it is and how it goes against the very foundation of Formula 1 and motor racing.

He said "a little bit", not "a lot".
