I wonder if this might trigger Sauber to sell to him after all.

Officially Andretti is the only one looking to enter so if he really does start his own team, it means no potential buyers for Sauber.

I think another team would hit the sweet spot with grid size tbh, so I'm all for it!

Colton Herta and Patricio O'Ward would wipe the floor with the F2/F3 talent pool.

Now that I've had some time to read some articles about the Ferrari, a lot of people are questioning its design.

Sounds like Ferrari went "revolutionary" but will end completing missing the point in true Ferrari style.

I hope not though, that car is too tast to not run at the front.

Mario did an interview and revealed a few more things: https://eu.indystar.com/story/sports/mo ... 851237001/

- Build in Indy but team based in UK
- Engine deal in place.
- Name: Andretti Global (was mentioned in tweet as well)
- Engine deal in place (Renault? Since they met up before US GP '21)
- Entry fee is secured

By 2024 I can see at least a couple of teams go bust, so the net result is probably 18 cars. :slaphead:
F1 needs at least 3 new teams.

FIA now says that SC can go in as soon lapped cars are allowed to overtake

in part is something very good because they don't take away another lap, but it feels like another knee jerk reaction to their pile of mistakes

Just realised Niels Wittich, one of the people taking over from Masi let this happen without any consequences

Good luck everyone :)

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss haha. The FIA are just trolling at this point.

In regards to bringing the safety car in after lapped cars have overtaken is an OK move, if it is done at the start of the lap or before the halfway point of the lap. What made the optics of Abu Dhabi appear like a total cock up is that more than half the lap was completed and they gave the go ahead literally a second after Vettel passed the SC.

The outcome would have still been the same, but it was the whole optics of it that really pissed me off. But I am waiting for the total LoLz when it happens again this year, and roles are reversed and they finish under SC and Max wins it. Now that would be epic!
