Now I'm sober I remember that. Cheers.

I'm sure there was a few times in 2005 that micheal had wished he was signed for Toyota

Still wouldn't have won a race though.

I'll always remember Toyota as the team that didn't know how to spent money. They thought the car would get better by literally throwing money at it. And when that didn't work they tried burning it.

They spent too much on drivers and not nearly enough on a good design staff.

When Gascoyne was allowed to work the way he wanted, he produced a good car (2005). But when he was micro-managed by Toyota hierarchy and forced to work as they wanted, the cars were crap.

Didn't Sam Michael start off as a janitor at Jordan? I remember reading an interview with him years ago that that was his in in F1. He had all the relevant qualifications....but at times they appeared to be from the University of Phoenix Online...

I remember how Sam Michael was touted as amazing, a genius, etc. Then does nothing but shit at Williams and McLaren.

Ganassi must be kicking himself having signed up a useless money-bags driver, only to hear that a slightly better money-driver has suddenly become avaiable.

Most of the time you see Australians doing well, or punching above their weight to achieve respectable results.... Not in this case though.... :-/

haha, these two above gave me a good laugh.

I think Maldonados best career move would be to join the FIA mandatory crash testing facility. He IS the most qualified to drive & wreck a car.... ;)

I guess the Poll on this thread should be changed now that Maldonado has retired

Q: Who was a worse driver, Maldonado or Sato?

Maldonado, easily. Sato didn't hit people on purpose.
