I'm not sure Carlos let him through at some point before; he was ahead all the way until the second SC, as Max pitted before it came out and Carlos was trapped and had to pit under it, meaning that they swapped over then.

So I'm not sure if it was supposed to be a reciprocation on Max's part or whether they just wanted to let Carlos have a go at Perez.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Sainz confirmed this on Spanish TV.

It's kind of stupid really, why would he think he could pass Perez if he can't pass the guy between them?

I think the STRs were both faster than Perez but not by enough to be able to outdrag him somewhere on the track. Carlos also had fresher tyres.

The call came too late. 2 laps is nowhere near enough time to set it up properly.

So Maldonado chops Button in a braking zone, goes four wheels beyond the white line then parks in the middle of the corner. How is any of that legal?

Hulkenberg has been given a 3 place grid penalty for Suzuka & 2 points added to his license for the accident with Massa.

maybe he was paid by Bernie so he could put a warning on GP organisers, that they didn't know how to handle a track invasion, then say "if you want to see F1 racing here again you gotta pay me a shitload of money"

Nope, just that he's been arrested. Don't expect the who and why for a while, if at all.

Guess he'll just get deported then, probably for the best. Think if it'd been a Singapore native they might have been spending a lot of time in jail for disrupting one of Singapores show piece events.

So none of the track invaders during the race has been a local?

2000 Germany - French
2003 Britain - Irish
2015 Singapore - British
