I think Brundle tweeted the exact same thing a couple weeks ago. Definitely something to think about...

If Mercedes have the same problem with tires, I can't see them winning. Sure, overtaking is almost impossible, but pitting before them and taking advantage of fresh rubber is easy. Unless they play tactically and get the 2nd placed car to back everyone up...

Could you clarify? I'm not sure whether this is supposed to be good for Schumi or Rosberg.

Agreed, that sentence makes no sense.
Hamilton isn't even the fastest driver in his own team anyway.

It was great to wacht Vd Garde today. Didn't expect anything from him this season.

Saying Rosberg is the man.

It was meant as a good thing for Schumi, as whilst he never really matched Nico in qualifying, he did get close on race pace at times (although Nico is perhaps not the same yardstick for that as an Alonso or Vettel) and closer on qualifying - and now we're seeing Nico with a run of poles and out-qualifying Hamilton who many consider to be the outright fastest driver ... as Karan said, it is something to think about.

It doesn't really change my opinion on Schumacher's retirement, which will always seem disappointing compared to his glory years ... and I didn't mind him being out there enjoying himself as he mostly seemed to be, although sometimes it was sad to see him make a fool of himself. I think he was being judged against a Rosberg held in lower esteem than perhaps he might have been though ... or maybe he was just being judged against 7 world titles and 91 wins, but I don't think being judged against a Rosberg we generally considered a bit above average helped ... judging him against a Rosberg with three consecutive poles against Hamilton in the same car, it changes things a little - not massively but a little.

Mercedes won't be holding anyone up since they will slide off in the chicane and must let the others pass. After 30 laps I expect them to be outside Top 5 already.

But when everyone planning so little pit stops they could at least fuck up the plans for the other teams.
