Not really. They have plenty of sponsors - plus being bankrolled by Infiniti/Renault - at the moment. I don't know exactly what their budget is but it's among the top 4 teams.

It's difficult to get exact budgets because teams have other companies that the use.

I see the latter happening to be honest

agreed.

Domenicali has told Brazilian media (yes, okay) that Massa will probably be at Ferrari in 2014.

It seems logical, after all why keep faith with someone for a long time and get rid of them once they improve?

Because they also care about the constructor championship? Let's wait for this season before we draw conclusions but I think there are way better options on the market. Keeping him is only to keep Alonso happy.

If you don't know any team's exact budget, then how can you claim Red Bull's among Top 4?

just teasing you being pedantic. They most likely are among top 4 but that's still speculation from our side, though

I do agree, but if Alonso doesn't clinch the title this year with Ferrari, surely he will start looking out for different options himself?

He doesn't really have other options.

He will be with Ferrari until they issue him with the 'you're going to be with Vettel or fuck off' ultimatum, a la Schumacher in 2006.

It's just speculation(from Schumacher haters, even the ones who make a living out of motorsport journalism and I'm not directing this to you) that Ferrari pushed Kimi as Schumacher's team mate and he didn't want(or chicken out as these people wanna make it looks like)

#F1 Rumors about Alonso move to Red Bull. Manager Garcia was seen with Horner. But talks only about his other client Carlos Sainz Jr.

apparently Raikkonen's salary have been unpaid for quite some time now. I can see him in a surprise retirement from F1, which would be a terrible shame.

I can even see Vettel going to Ferrari if this happens. They both have a running contract I guess, so it would be kind of a trade.
But what if Ferrari suddenly improves and Red Bull gets behind?
Too risky maybe, but on the other hand Alonso has nothing to lose.

I think the best position to be in for next year is at an team that builds his own engine. Leaving Ferrari would be stupid IMO.

Well this really is silly season.

I'd guess Garcia is trying to get Sainz Jr into Toro Rosso as reserve with some FP1 outings, perhaps. If you're serious about talks, you don't do them in full view of the paddock on race day.

Doesn´t he need to talk to Franz Tost for that or at least Helmut.

Here's a weird idea.

One of the rumours that's been floating around is that the Hulk is to leave Sauber during the summer break to take up a seat at Lotus. The assumption so far is that he would be replacing Grosjean.

Well...what if he was replacing Kimi? If he's finally had enough of driving for free, he might have told the team that he's handing his notice in during the summer so that they can find a replacement. Hulk probably would drive that car for free, and even if he did get paid it wouldn't be much.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

That's an interesting idea. To move that thought onwards, perhaps if Kimi was allowed to become a free agent (as I'm sure there are clauses in his contract about non-payment) then potentially Red Bull could let Webber go and Kimi could take up the seat there as a precursor to a 2014 drive?

Alonso needs to receive the Prost 1991 treatment from Ferrari. He himself has fucked up multiple times over the past few years when he has had the chance to close down championships. But yet he only (publically anyway) holds Ferrari responsible for poor performance. Maybe there needs to be a change in Ferrari management, but quite frankly Alonso needs to either put up and shut up, or fuck off.
