8. Some impressive overtakes and an actual battle for the lead. Could've been higher if there was more action in the middle of the race.

I voted 6 but only because we have all been spoiled by the races so far. :D If this race was during the 'dark ages' of rock hard Bridgestones and traction control, I'd have voted 8 or 9.

Europe and spain the highest score, Canada allmost at the bottom. What a season so far.

I voted this race an 8. I thougt it was pretty good. I realise noe that an 8 is too high since I've voted better races with an 8 as well. Can it be undone?

People here don't like passes for the lead with a few laps to go anymore. Canada got rated very low and now again Silverstone, both had passes for the lead at the end. This race would have been the race of the season a few years ago.

OK race, I gave it a 6.

How great is it that fights for the lead until the closing laps have become the norm, so a race needs non-stop action from start to finish to even get close to higher marks

How many times in the last 15 years a pass for the lead has occured in the last 5 laps? Six times by my count (Canada '11, Europe '07, Europe '05, Japan '05, Belguim '01, Spain '01)

TBK populus: "nah race was pretty average".

That was one of the best pure races of the year, everyone seems to be looking at this so narrow mindedly. Valencia was only good because of attrition and Pastor Maldonado. In my opinion, Silverstone was streaks infront of what Valencia was as a race.

I agree with you that this race does not deserve anything below 7. But the fact that Valencia got rated high(er) is probably because it was so unexpected.

In Silverstone most people expected some kind of rain/wet chaos which didn't materialize.

I think the expectations before the race does influence the ratings.

btw I voted 7!

Issent this poll about personal opinion? If you want an objective vote, you need to look at number of passes for the lead/in general. Number of crashes etc..

Of course I am biased. Canada always was a fun race to watch, so this year I atleast anticipated the same. I gave this race a 3, cause the only fun was at the start and beginning and the rain we never had.

Not a snoozefest and not a total classic either, but this race did have its moments.

7/10

I said something the same a year ago, races like this would have been given higher ratings a few years back and people reacted that it was a bad comparison and it didn't make sense. Guess we are getting spoiled;)

the truth is that the 2009 British Grand Prix was bizarly good with Hamilton & Alonso battling for last place.
