I didn't know that about Malaysia. Is that because of the money they have to spend to Bernie's money-machine, or because not enought people show up?

If the entrance prizes should be lower, more public would show up. More public means more atmosphere on tv. More atmosphere on tv means more viewers. More viewers means more sponsor exposure. More sponsor exposure mean more money.
Where did I go wrong?

I don't think more atmosphere would affect the tv rating. Not in F1 at least.

You can say that again! Cars going everywhere, never to forget that :p Last year you had a gold ticket, had you not? On friday you can go everywhere you like, I tried your place and you don't see thát much more. If I where you, I would take a Silber T4 ticket, it's a lot cheaper ;)

I was at Monza in 2008, sitting in the S/F straight grandstand. I think it was €330 for the entire weekend.
Will be at Spa this year, at the turn 1 hairpin, looking back up the pitlane and S/F straight. Prices are a fair bit more though, around €440 for the entire weekend.

Indeed. Last year I was 17, so the gold ticket costs me only €250 or something like that. The view was great, no fences that could block your view.

Can you post some Silver T4 pictures so I can see what's the view at that point?

I went to Barcelone, but not for GP, only for private tests, and it was free for me ... ;)

That's great! I really would like to see some testing too. But they don't test very often close to the Netherlands.... :(

Nurburgring or nothing for me I think...

Where is the best place to sit over there?

I was there in 2001 at the first corner (chicane back then), quite good one. I thin you may now see cars for longer. There was also short place in the back of track which I was able to see. (between 90-degree left and right)

first corner is the best I think, but also one of the most expensive. But I sat there once with the LMES, was great fun

Going to Monza, probably one of the stands by the first chicane. Heard it's not the best venue to spectate at but I'm going to sample the atmosphere really.

Is Aus the only event to have a 4 Day weekend?

(Not including Monaco, where the Friday is a day of rest! :p )

Apparently Friday in Monaco is the best day for spectators of the whole season. Get to see cars, drivers, mechanics, everyone up close. Hoping to get to Monaco in 2011.

Hmmm interesting....I suppose the drivers HAVE to be there and they've got bugger all to do, they might as well chill with the fans :p

There is also very brief GP2/Porsche/Renault practice on the Friday morning I believe, it's only after lunch that track action must cease IIRC

I am considering it but all tickets for raceday for Silverstone are over £100 now. And Spa tickets are even more expensive

Ticket prices are ridiculous. It's unbelievable anyone goes these days

This is one reason why Indianapolis should be on the schedule. Indianapolis has a great facility and ticket prices were cheap compared to the European venues. Heck the price we paid for our ticket for 2007 was I think $85, which at the time was about 170 or so British pounds.
