Still amazing how many F1 drivers with at least relative succes Finland has produced. IMHO the Netherlans is more a circuit racing nation than Finland (more Rally) but we only have the Verstappen's to be proud of and the rest is mainly meh or outright embarrassing (albers).

Indeed, it's unbelievable that all Finnish drivers bar Leo Kinnunen and Mikko Kozarowitzky (7/9 = 77,8%) have had a race-wining car at some point of their career, although JJ and Salo failed to capitalize the opportunity (through no fault of their own).

But Salo and JJ still had a respectable career in F1.
We have only Max to really brag about and Jos wasnt too shabby either. Lammers had a distinctive career outside F1 but nothing special in F1.
Next up is Albers, Doornbos, van der Garde, Rothengarter etc. Just a bunch of ran too's.

Doornbos was really good tbh. He did very well in the Champ Car Minardi.

He is actually Belgian ;)

He's both. Norris and Stroll are too.
If nationalities were defined by that of the mother, Formula 1 would have 3 Belgian drivers. But that's not how it works.

haha didn't know Norris was born to a belgian mother, perhaps that's why he looks like a sissy sometimes

As expected judge ruled in Zandvoort’s favor. Grand Prix is a go

Tire wear could be one thing that somehow makes this race interesting against the odds but we know how drivers love to bitch about tires and blame everything on Pirelli so that's not exactly a good thing.

They chose the 3 hardest compounds for this race. They're playing it safe.

So much for that 0,1% hope this race won't be a boredom then :p I've set my bar really low for this one.

We have had hardest tyre race (Spain) being mostly two-stopper and at the same time softest tyre race being one-stopper.

"looks like" doesn't necessarily denote their true nature

Well, it makes you wonder if Zandvoort won't see the repeat of what happened in Catalunya and Paul Ricard - the guy stuck behind the leader goes for the extra stop hoping to pass him later on due to major tire grip difference. Unless it becomes obvious tire wear is such a big issue everyone goes for two stops on Sunday by default.

He could be Max's older brother, especially with that Red Bull suit.

I like what they did with the track. I was expecting a lot more butchering, but they kept the original layout and did not fear leaving close walls and gravel.

Still feels undersized for today's tanks, let's see how the cars will look on track.

Well, after 10 minutes of watching F3 practice....i'm calling it. F1 will be a shit show. There is going to be gravel ALL over the place.

I'm surprised how bumpy the exit of turn 3 is.

The graveltrap in T12 is a bit of a design fail to be honest. We even had to red flag clubraces, and seen some big crashes, because of gravel on track. The track has been widened on the inside, resulting in the gravelbed laying higher than the actual racing surface. It will definitely be an issue this weekend as well
