60% chance of rain tomorrow according to Wolff. So expect no rain and an easy Mercedes 1-2

Even with rain it’ll still probably be a Mercedes 1-2

As I am in Split and enjoying excellent food and wine, I did not watch this crap that portraits itself as the pinnacle of motorsports.

Excellent result for fans all over the world.

I hope they will enjoy another fantastic
F1 product tomorrow.

Also: Ferrari please leave F1 you are an embarassment and Niki is rolling over in his grave laughing from the clown show you have become.

That is all as my next glass of wine is served

after his pitstop, Hamilton will complain about the tires and in the very next lap sets the track record

So glad I was at a place where my 4g was not working properly for me not to get pissed at Ferrari once again.

When I think their historical team bonus is bigger than what Force India would spend to get a 4th place on constructors, I really hope they honor their word next time they threaten to leave the sport because something doesn't favor them. It's good riddance.

Seriously, Williams is a better team now. Ferrari just happens to have more money.

Can they please find something illegal on the Mercedes that will slow them down enough after being removed so the season gets a bit more exciting?

Ferrari is a joke this year, they are making mistakes wich cost them dear. It looks like they dont have a man like marecedes has who can think a little bit ahead of what will/can happen if....

Just look at Suzuka QLF last year. In Q3 it started to fall rain, light drops- All other cars that were in Q3 went on slick tyres and did a fast lap while it was dry, Ferrari send their cars with Inter tyres. Wich were wrong at that time, and rain started to fall and then ferraries had slick tyres but could hardly improve. Specially Vettel who made mistakes.
But it was over.... They need a man like Ross Brawn. Or whoever is making the right calls in Mercedes...
Otherwise its a desaster, even Verstappen is in front of them...

I guess there's nothing wrong, just put Ferrari engineers at Mercedes and everything will be alright

I wonder whether the current state of affairs on Ferrari is damaging the relationship between the team and Leclerc.

Ferrari is screwing him sometimes by giving advantages to Vettel, sometimes by plain stupidity. I couldn't see this causing much harm with Kimi, because he didn't seem to be losing anything and seemed to be happy with his glorious past. But Leclerc has a whole career ahead and has to prove himself and it might suck to be close of this and at the same time so distant.

It's not the first or second time the team screws him this season and this time he didn't make much effort to hide his dissatisfaction.

Ferrari might be losing their future star by having him at the wrong time.

Do they have any contract that prevents him from going to certain teams? Because I can see Mercedes snatching him at some point, which would be absolutely hilarious given he's Ferrari Academy and all

Wolff and Hamilton have said a lot about how Niki was influential in the team's success. I guess we get to find out over the next couple of months how true this was.

First band of rain moved out

next band of rain is moving west towards Monte Carlo, and is over Imperia presently

I've checked three different weather sites. One is predicting light rain before the race, one is predicting rain after the race, and the other says thunderstorms during the race. But it's F1, so probably no rain.
