Yeaa, they'll just get a talking to. Utter BS though but I guess there is the potentiality of sometyhing being added to the car but I can't see Webber stopping on purpose to give Alonso a weight to make his car heavier

Nope. Vettel leads on that front 8-4.

Oh is it? Well, I'm surprised.

But remember kids, Marko is constantly sabotaging the #2 Red Bull.

Without that dodgy gearbox, it would have been 6 from 7 for Seb.

If they reprimand Webber and Alonso, wont Webber get a ban as this would be his 3rd strike this season?

Yeah, and four of Vettel's were when the win was in the bag.

Webber's retirement today was water pressure related. Ie, a lack of it.

Ehhh, I'm getting tired of this.

Tired of the dull races. Tired of the uneducated blaming Vettel for the dullness. Tired of having to think of reasons why it's actually not as bad as it looks. Tired of hoping for excitement to break out. Tired of waiting for a safety car to give us any entertainment.

20 laps of good racing in 2 races isn't good enough.

Thank god for the last 10 laps though, was having a severe F1 interest crash until Kimi woke us all up by putting one of the passes of the season on out of nowhere.

P.S. I freaking hate this track. If it's going to be dull, at least give us great classic tracks to be dull on like Spa and Monza, this place just sucks any enjoyment out of the racing.

Just seen the video and can see why it was a reprimand.

Sorry, I deleted my last post which explains it -

Quote:
Because that was Webber's third reprimand of the year, he will receive an automatic 10-place grid penalty for the next event.

That's actually a really surprising stat. Then again, Webber does seem to suffer from a lot of failures that affect his car without causing a retirement. I've lost track of the number of KERS, brakes, gearbox, DRS type issues on Webber's car. I don't remember Vettel having quite so many of those during a race weekend.

Thoroughly fed up of Vettel dominating but what an insane drive he had today. Completely in a league of his own. I've always said that Alonso/Hamilton/Vettel were the 3 best drivers in the sport, but if Vettel keeps performing like this, he could arguably be the best of all of them. It's frightening to think how dominating his wins could be if he was giving it 100% all race. Today was a glimpse of that.

Vettel is now the best. He's better than what Schumacher ever was and he's only getting better. He is so much better now than in 2010.

I'd agree with that. Just waiting to hear that it's only because of the car. ;)

if it's only because of the car, then why has Webber not even come close to a victory yet this year?

Think the reprimand was fair looking at that, Alonso parked in the middle of the track which forced drivers to have to take avoiding action & Webber would have had to run onto the track to get on the car.

he just need a season without the best car, or even outside red bull, to prove to those that's not the car, but the driver

I don't expect Vettel to spend the rest of his career in that Red Bull so I guess we just have to be patient.

I've suffered through a few "boring" eras before, so long as you're patient and keep watching, the sport will move on into something more palatable eventually.
In the meantime, the race for 2nd will be pretty good.
2011 wasn't such a bad season after all ;)

The difference is that Vettel's four seasons of 'dominance' have been largely exciting. I don't really care that Vettel has been winning because, largely, the racing has been exciting.
