FIA's official report says that Grosjean's accident clocked in at 67g, which is lower than Kubica's at Montreal.

Williams reminds me a little bit of the early 2000s Sauber colours.

Nice to see some different liveries, although nothing really stands out.

Williams livery a good way to hide a lack of sponsors.

For me, it looks like a livery you would see in a licensed F1 game nowadays actually. It felt like some livery from a career game of the Codemasters game or a livery I used on the F1 Manager Mobile Game.

Some of these modern liveries look really horrible. I know it's 3D and you can put shades twice over but I miss the straight-forward single layer paintjobs. It's like those video clips from the 1980s when you had the motion backgrounds that was aimed to show the tech progress but they have all aged VERY bad indeed.

the problem with 2002 is that the best looking car stopped racing halway through the season

Yeah. But 2001 there was no white-red Toyota and blue-yellow Renault, so it was from Australia 2002 to Germany 2002 when the grid was perfect colorwise. And had not Ferrari dominated the season, it could have been a fantastic year (Montoya winning the WDC?).

what is this bullshit from WADA? How do they have any authority on such matters that a driver can't race under a certain flag? Dumbest shit I've ever heard.

No display of Russia flag and they pretty much put it on the front wing and F1 is signatory to WADA code. Pretty simple.

at least F1 is not like one of those farcical sports that most of their champions were doped even on their fingernails, you know that mixed martial arts organization called UFC right

It's not WADA who banned Mazepin to race under the flag. They requested a four year ban to Russian flags on every worldwide sporting competition and CAS (Sporting Arbitral Court) ruled a two year ban. And FIA's worldwide competitions are under the ruling of CAS.

In F2, Shwartzman will be free do race under the Russian flag because this isn't a worldwide series and therefore is not under CAS ruling.

Ummm...Russia had systematic doping program so it's kinda huge deal? The real question is that since this was noticed in late 2015 by WADA, it's weird that 2021 F1 season we have "United Nations Grand Prix at Sochi" and Mazepin is going to have to race under United Nations flag. Had Mazepin entered F1 last year, he would have been running under Russian flag in the Russian Grand Prix.

Mazepin could race with a british license since most russian mobsters live in London anyway

but it would be cool if they rebrand the race at Sochi as the Black Sea GP

Just like in Motorsport Manager.

I really hope F1TV will release the English commentary for us here. I don't want to stream Band coverage with the same sub-par team that has been doing F1 for years.
