I see Red Bull are already complaining about the Renault power unit saying it's worse than in testing and hasn't changed compared to Abu Dhabi.

Toro Rosso seem to have the hang of it.

Also Australian weather services are forecasting rain showers and a possible thunderstorm for tomorrow in the late afternoon / evening.

I can't see further development on that Sauber, as they gonna spend the rest of the money on courts

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

BREAKING: An agreement has been reached which means Giedo van der Garde's contempt action against @SauberF1Team has been withdrawn.

There's no word yet on the details of the agreement Sauber and van der Garde have reached. It means Sauber won't have its cars seized.

He's given up

With respect to the interest of motorsport, and F1 in particular, I have decided to give up my legal rights to race this weekend at the Melbourne Grand Prix.
As I am a passionate race driver this decision has been very difficult for me.
However I also wish to respect the interest of the FIA, Sauber Motorsport, as well as Nasr and Ericsson.
My management will continue talks with Sauber early next week to find a mutually acceptable solution for the current situation that has now arisen.
I am confident such solution will be found and I will inform the media once done.

The exact nature of the settlement has not yet been agreed, which is surprising.

That's the key part.

If it rolls over where I live first there's a good chance it'll hit the track. Going to be warm on the track for FP3 though.

Really? I thought the key part was that he called out the FIA. ;)

Yup, Giedo and his lawyers only did this to prove a point and threaten Sauber in future negotiations with the likes of "do what we want or you won't race in Malaysia...."(they knew, due to FIA's bureaucracy, that Giedo wouldn't get a superlicense for this weekend). Sauber, now, knows Giedo is legally backed and will have to concede to what he really wants(likely a share of the team to the father-in-law)

he'll give up racing these races, but after the father in law takes control he'll drive until the team runs out of money again
