It might not be the best move for Hamilton, in terms of getting results and winning a title next year, but I'm very interested to see how well he'll go in that car. I'd be surprised if he doesn't win a race.

And Mercedes in person of Ross Brawn is already denying that Lewis has a 75mio Euro contract, claiming it is much lower and has not been the best offer. Someone at Mercedes is already afraid of shareholders and the worker's council, I guess.
Also it's a pretty damn good timing for Mercedes to announce a multi-milion-euro signing just after they lowered their earnings forecast and announced a large savings program as well as the intention to shut down a production shift in Stuttgart.

The western Pacific has been pretty active recently (currently a Typhoon headed for Japan and a week or two ago typhoon Sanba went up toward Korean peninsula). Hopefully there won't be any storms too significant to cancel the race.
