Not sure if it helps driver to exit. If the car is upside down, the driver can't get out by himself for sure. Ask Hulkenberg.

Grosjean was lucky to not be upside down when his car was on fire.

Good old Ferrari International Assistance :whistling:

Red flag was out before SC line 2, which is what counts.

That was the objections some of us had when it was introduced, that it would hinder you getting out the car if upside down but the powers that be considered it an acceptable risk since fire was so rare nowdays.

There's a video of them testing upside-down extraction when it was being developed. It's definitely possible and intended with the design, but probably not with no roll hoop.

I think they're all driving like dicks there

Max last year knew Lewis would back out of is, Sainz and Leclerc won't

It’s so annoying to watch Verstappen race against other drivers. He’s such a twat.

But he's racing against other hungry young guns now who also won't back down

They won't be as wise in wheel to wheel situations as Lewis was, expect more scraps and crashes between Max and Leclerc from now on

Yeah I hate that too, swerving off the start, but obviously he felt pressured by Max' good start in both starts

Looks like Max has the pace here, it's just a matter of time, as ever

Albon being transferred to hospital, hope he's ok. That hit with the concrete must have been harder than it looked
