I actually think it could be a great race. Many "top guns" starting from the midfield and the back of the grid. And a great top 4, add some rain and we could have a very good Spanish GP for a once.

I may be easily amused. I may also be writing a lesson plan. However, the point remains, genuine LOL ...

Gary Anderson explains why Lewis' car didn't have enough fuel:

Quote:
The fuel rig guy put the rig on, but he had the handle set to drain fuel. He discovered his mistake and switched it to put fuel in the car. But as a result he didn't put as much fuel in it as he should have. You have to be able to drive back to the pit-lane and have one litre of fuel left for the FIA to test. He went across the start-finish line 20 seconds before the chequered flag but if they had sat in the garage for three or four more seconds to get more fuel in, they still would have had time to cross the line and complete another flying lap. Sometimes I don't think McLaren think on their feet.

Missed Qualy. Is Pastor genuinely quick or is it all down to the tyres?

He was pretty fast during Q1 till Q3. Hand he wasn't too bad either in the training.

I always thought Maldonado have an amazing raw speed. His problem always were his kind of irresponsibilities in races.

I would love to see Williams winning again, so I hope Maldonado runs away in P1 and Alonso holds the Lotuses.

On another note, it will be interesting to see Vettel, Webber, Button and Hamilton trying to come through the field, but given how difficult it is to pass here and how close the pack currently is, I'm not really sure we'll see plenty of overtaking

Considering the winner at this track has only come from off the front row once its going to be an interesting race. One of the most mixed up grids in recent years.

I think this race is Alonso's to lose.

I'm thinking it's either Button or Webber's, probably Jenson because we all know Mark can't start :p

If Kimi started 11th last race and nearly got the win from Sebastien because saving a new set of options was that important, then perhaps 11th is the big advantage people seem to be assuming it is.
And the Mclaren, whatever the hell is going on with them, team infrastructure wise, is still a quicker car than the Lotus...so....

Of course, if that does happen no-one would ever go out again in Q3 so I guess the FIA would act pretty quickly to close that little loophole!

They need an extra set of soft tyres only for use in Q

Yes but that's too logical for the FIA and teams to realise

Tbh a Williams , Lotus or Alonso win will be great, and thanfully the chances of that happening are pretty bloody high!

If Alonso wins, it will show without a shadow of a doubt that he is a genius. I think Massa's pace is slightly off a true representative pace the Ferrari. That Ferrari doesn't even deserve to be in the top 10.

And my prediction for the race......Webber will finish the first lap in 15th place.

Alonso is driving that Ferrari exactly like Senna was in 1993

I've been thinking it's similar to Schumacher in 1996
