So reading between the lines Webber and Horner seem to have had a falling out. Hardly supprising really.

Autosport reported that Horner was informed minutes before the Webber announcement on their headline.

Then in the article, it was an hour beforehand. Typical Autosport.

Nonetheless, it seems like that Vettel wants a new bitch as according to BBC he wants to have a say on his new team-mate.

Personally I am pleased Webber is going to Porsche and I am really looking forward to next year with sportscars.

So a serious question here. When a team gives a car to the driver and the driver leaves, do they have to give the car back? Do the drivers actually own the cars or basically have them on loan? I think Webber would be happy to trade in his piece of shit Infiniti for a Porsche.

I imagine its a company car and gets handed back. I'd rather have an Infiniti for every day use lol.

I am really not an Infiniti fan at all. The front looks like Daffy Duck and the rear like a hippo. Here in my neck of the woods in China we literally have a plethora of Porsche Cayenne S's floating around. They are sorry about the pun....infinitely better than the Infiniti FX and JX.

Mark's actually driven Porsches for years, which is why his link to the factory team was no surprise. As early as 2008 he had a Carrera GT, and he currently drives a GT2 RS and a GT3.

So that's the real reason why Red Bull were looking at replacing him haha. Rocks up to an Infiniti promo event in his Porsche!! That would be epic.

If you're the team you can probably make decent eBay money (I mean second hand/auction rather than really on eBay) selling Mark Webber's old Infiniti/Lewis Hamilton's Mercedes etc. when they give it back ... I'd also take the Porsche - I'm not the kind of person who'd ever buy one but if you're offering me a choice of free cars, Porsche takes Infiniti.

He is joining Mclaren. Guess that is also synonymous to the Titanic.

Hang on, isn't this the guy that built the car that has made Perez look very good these past couple of years?.. I see a connection...

That was James Key.

Morris was partially responsible for this year's abomination.

Ah ok, I stand corrected. So you could say that this is the guy that is making Gutierrez look bad?

(unlikely as it is)

No chance of that, Whitmarsh does that all by himself. He appointed Sam Michael to McLaren afterall.

Kimi did have a good latter part of 2009, but he only seemed to pick up his game after Massa got injured. Whether the turnaround was down to Kimi or rather Ferrari needing to put more resources into Kimi (to save their season) is really the discussion.

There's been a good article about Kimi's last year at the Ferrari (maybe it was by phil1993 or linked here by him some time ago?). It's funny how Kimi's motivation and performance dropped around the same time when Santander made a deal with Ferrari around Monaco 2008 and kept getting worse until Massa got injured. Ferrari wasn't the fastest car on either of the two seasons, first it was McLaren, then Brawn and Red Bull. Ferrari was all in for Massa, because they knew that he would still be around for 2010 and had a good marketing value in South America for both Ferrari and Santander. When Massa was injured and Ferrari needed more constructor points from their only car left for the field, in all of a sudden Kimi was way faster in Hungary already and had good results.

As his comeback has proved, Kimi has never had problems with his motivation or performance.

Kimi's really an awesome person on all levels, he will give good value for Red Bull next year. 8)

http://f1bias.com/2012/04/05/truth-abou ... nder-2008/ <- I think you mean this one. It all makes sense if you think of it.

Yes, that's it! Thanks!

During the time Kimi was not comfortable at all in front of media and people were questioning his motivation and the rumoured lack of it. But when he was asked by Finnish media directly about his motivation, he kinda gave a political answers, pointing towards the issues they had with the team, mentioning bad strategies, pitstop mistakes and lack of updates. He never blamed the team directly about them, just said that he's been unfortunate lately. Since his comeback, he had a lot to prove, since media hated him (because he hated the media). But for more friendly sources he said he has never lacked the motivation. And when asked about what went wrong with the Ferrari, he said that maybe he will tell his version someday, but not in the near future.

What do they mean with scrapping promotional days? No more f1 demo's?
