As I'm sure some of you know, I run a podcast for F1inpubs.co.uk and as a few of you might have been aware, my colleague Manish managed to arrange an interview with David Croft a few days ago.

So here's part 1 of that chat:

I like how the Taki Inoue of today is able to look back at his time in F1 with a sense of humour.

He replied to a Tweet I sent him last week... typically for him, his response made no sense whatsoever.

He usually tweets some funny things. I heard he instantly joked Nakajima for taking the Delta Wing car away from 24 Heure du Mans and some days ago he randomly bashed smartphones for making life "crap level".

Wondering what happened to Pedro Paulo Diniz?

Alright, some years back he took his wife and children, abandoned everything and went living on a farm away from civilization where he raises chickens and lives like an ascetic. After a long silence, Diniz accepted to concede an interview to brazilian magazine "TRIP" where he talks about his new life. Long and interesting interview but it's all in portuguese though.

I think Diniz had 2 or 3 more years in F1 If he wanted, he was a good driver, I remember some great races back in 1998 on that black Arrows car.

What an amazing interview...

spent. It was normal at that time. But it was interesting, I was not prepared, was about 13 years. My brother took me and my friends. Did not talk, just asked: "So, you've chick gets hard?", And they took me. I was ashamed to take his pants in front of the girl. But rolled.

Got quite some balls to ask this to someone

Was Diniz the one who span in Adelaide 1995 and took 3 whole donuts to get straight again? It's like Bjorn Wirdheim, you're not going to be recognised for anything except that one moment madness.

Also I was watching Spain 1996 the other day, Murray Walker tears shreds off Diniz for about 2 minutes straight, yet he managed to finish one of the most treacherous races of the year (about a bajillion laps down though).

There's also this little tidbit:
