Here's an OT question, being a dutch speaker, is it possible to understand German? I mean like people who speak latin languages like Spanish, Italian and Portuguese can sort of understand each other, to some extent. Is that the same with German and Dutch? |

We learn a bit German in school but not much. If I read a German magazine I can understand 30% of it, if it is on TV or real life I just watch because listening is hopeless. So in my case the answer is no. |

After a while you get used to it. On holidays I can understand German just fine, TV is not an issue as long as they're not speaking too fast. I won't understand every word but enough to know what they're talking about. |

Then watch highlights of practice 3 on rtl and qualifying/race on rtbf2. Next race is live on BBC. I learned to understand German from watching F1 on rtl, dsf and premiere in the early 2000's. As long as they talk about racing I'm fine, when it's about another subject I don't understand everything. |

Thanks Alonsomania and cookie, as well I have seen Dutch websites already and it didn't look that similar to German so I was quite surprised Fabs apparently understood the Sky ad I guess that The Two option wouldn't work out too greatly for Tobias because I'm not sure if he parle français

I have noticed in the past couple of years: it is sometimes better to watch F1 with commentators in a language that you don't understand, than to listen to a bunch of amateurs who don't know what they are talking about. |

So for us Belgians: Telenet bought the F1 rights and will offer a similar package to what Premiere offers: onboard channel, pit channel, etc... Not going to buy it though  Source |

Only qualifying and the race live according to that press release. If you have to pay, at least show every session and GP2 and GP3 races live. Highlights of the races will be on Canvas. |

In Croatia: MaxTV a T-com Tv channel packet will include first 4 races for free after that every race will be paid 25kn (around 3€) or monthly 30kn (around 4€) just for that one channel which has just f1 and some 2013 support series races like F3 and old WRC highlights. Pretty poor option as the TV packet-phone+flat internet costs around 300kn (40€) and TV includes almost nothing,really poor options here. So streams will be the main option as the salaries aren't the highest,and everything is getting more expensive. What is more idiotic,last year they had first few races live,and suddenly then saw it doens't make profit so they pulled out,and now came back with the pay per view. |
