Meanwhile, Raikkonen, Perez, Maldonado, Vergne & Ricciardo are under investigation for 'not leaving the pit lane in the order they arrived' in Q2. Raikkonen also for Q3.

No investigation about Rosberg action against Massa at Q1? I can remember Hamilton got a drive trough penalty for it at Hungary two years ago.

What happened between Rosberg and Massa?

I see what has happened here. All the drivers who have been summoned either overtook, tried to overtake or went outside the white lines immediately after leaving the pit lane. They did not follow the correct path down to the blend line exiting turn 2.

Because Kimi's penalty is applied before Ricciado's, they only actually lose a single place on the grid.

The beneficiary in this is Hulkenburg who moves up to 9th on the grid.

Massa spun 4 times in that race but its often forgotten (Or just ignored) that Raikkonen also spun off 3-4 times in that race.

Both drivers complained about the car not been very drivable in the wet that year, Its also why Kimi suddenly lost a ton of time when it began to rain at Spa that year.

True that he's never been one of the best drivers in the wet but at the same time I don't think he's as hopeless in the wet as people often say.

He's had 2 truly dreadful wet races (Silverstone 2002/2008), But he's not been too bad in other wet races.

After all these years. This is still one of the silliest rules in F1.

I think the thing with Massa is that he is a solid driver, not a championship winning driver, like my own favorite Webber. He has been at Ferrari for 8 years and has only once looked like winning the championship. Its time for him to move on. I honestly think a straight swap with Hulkenburg would be the best option.

Think I've read in the past that he had a dry engine map for that race which meant the car span a lot more easily. Seems to me that Ferrari have screwed Massa over on a number of occasions and don't make that much effort to defend him, guess that comes with being no 2 driver.

Hoping for similar conditions today, so that Bottas can show some more pace. What a great effort from him.

Obviously even a finish in the Top-10 by any circumstances will be a great step up for both Bottas & Williams.

I am not quite up to date as to how P di Resta got into f1, but I've been reading recently it is by having some 'questionable' funds?

Most of the rain stayed north of Montreal.

Perhaps a small chance of a shower, but don't count on it.

Yesterday I was on the road late night, and we caugt lots of rain, but nothing after we crossed the bridge to Montréal. I live South-East of Montréal, and I can tell you that, looking North-West, I see nothing but sun and light clouds. OK, we've still got to wait over 3 hours before the actual race start, but it looks good so far !

As always, I'm hoping for a slight drizzle but nothing more, lest Charlie Postponing gets cold feet again. Image

Brundle just said that some teams are still talking about a 40% chance of rain for the start.
