Always best to rely on official sources, but Hartstein's latest is also well worth reading http://formerf1doc.wordpress.com/2014/0 ... t-reports/ |

He could be in a coma for the rest of his life. Alternatively, he could wake up tomorrow. But which makes for the better headline? |

That article was utter rubbish. The journalist picks up some random specialist and asks him to comment on all the possible outcomes. I'm sure the specialist clarified that those were just his speculations. But ofcourse the journalist picks the most dramatic possible outcome (i.e. in permanent coma) and then presents that in the article as if it's the most likely and/or only outcome. Bloody nonsense. Like James said, just trying to garner publicity for their bloody tabloid. |

And it will get carried by similarly bottom-feeding rags around the world. Today "SCHUMI MAY NEVER WAKE UP" in our Herald Scum (Sun). |

Mass media will do anything for a story. |

I heard the opposite a day ago?? "That he is still in critical condition and he will probably stay manny months in coma, cuz recovery is not going fast as expected" Doctors cant wake him up now cuz his brain cells didnt recover by now... |

Go by what Kehm says. Anything else is hearsay or unconfirmed. The posts a little above on this page sum up the situation. |

I see the Mirror are also running with a "Schumacher won't recover" story based on what some expert said. I'm guessing it's along the same lines, though I've been struggling to access the Autosport forums to get the most recent updates (been banned despite never posting there...) |

It ain't looking good that's for sure.. reading up about it, it seems the longer one is in a coma the more the brain and body deteriorate... I just hope that we ain't here in 5 years time still discussing this and waiting for the inevitable.. Who was the NASCAR, American driver who was in a coma for donkeys years until he passed away |

i couldnt stand him, a man of his caliber, in coma forever. If he cant wake up at least i hope he dies. |

This image was the first thing that came to my mind after. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pXuXaj_RFc8 I have no good words to say what I feel precisely, but back in the day I wanted him to come second, now I want him to win this one. Come on Michael! |

My God... That text hurts real bad. I wish him merciful release from that situation, be it on this side or the other. |

Do not lose hope friends. I've seen first hand the miraculous recovery of someone who suffered severe brain injury. There are reprocussions, but a perfectly happy and productive life can be lived. We must not lose faith that the great champion can triumph over this challenge as well. |

That's all we can do is wait. Hope for the best but prepare for the worst. |
