Didn't get any storm, a nice sunset during the GP3 race and then driving back in the dry. Had an interesting parking spot due to myself being rather late leaving home (round 8AM). Tomorrow I'll try to leave at the usual time so I can park at Francorchamps instead of having to divert to Ster and parking on some hill.

And great that they finally demolished the bridge on Kemmel, you now have a much better view. As usual it will be my spot tomorrow.

I came in through the 'secret' media entrance - rallying through the Belgian countryside for a while.

3. And following number 2, I believe the exception was Massa. The Brazilian managed to convert great potential into yet another massively disappointing result.

I'm going to disagree with this. It looked like it was the right choice after 5 minutes, but it wasn't after 10. Massa was about a lap behind di Resta. This lap put him 3rd, after what must have been a ball-busting lap from Rosberg. However whilst others tried again, Massa pits. Whether that was fuel or not, I don't know, but I don't think when you look at in the cold light day, the driving performance was necessarily that disappointing.

I think it's hard to asses any individual driver performance in the car in conditions like these.

When we say "Hamilton took a stunning pole" we don't mean "He drove really well", keeping it on the road is a challenge in itself, yes, but what we really mean is both he and Mercedes both judged the conditions and timed their lap perfectly.

Likewise Kimi and others didn't do bad driving, they just made bad decisions.

TL;DR it's much more of a team effort in these kind of conditions.

It was all about being last across the line, which is always the case in drying conditions. The trick is to make sure you're the last across the line. And your team has to tell you how much time you can back off or you'll end up missing it like Button in Canada.

Which is precisely what Ross Brawn said post quail. Boiled down he said pole would have been anyone crossing the line last.

It is not an ambitious interpretation because afterall, to make his point he could have used many other drivers. Massa went from 14th to 5th (9 places made). Vergne went from 15th to 8th (8 places made). Ricciardo 16th to 9th (8 places made). Hulkenburg 12th to 4th (8 places made). But no. He didn't. He used Vettel (who gained the same number of positions as Massa) as he always does when making points about luck or good fortune.

Not sure the blame is with the team this time, Alonso spun in Q3 and took way too long to get back on it. He missed out being on that last crucial lap by 5 secs.

It's probably going to be a bit like 2005, with mist and low clouds around. But no rain falling (although in that year the track was damp).

Sun was shining during the GP2 finish, and according to radar no rain clouds are approaching. Have to wait the wet race until Suzuka or maybe Interlagos.

Those Clouds are moving towards the track.

Yeah, looks like showers could affect the race towards the end, just like 2010.

God damn it, I hate the rain.

That rain over Germany was supposed to hit the Ardennes much earlier.

THIS WASN'T THE DEAL

By calculating the speed of clouds from radar, the rain will start about 30 mins after the finish. But of course clouds can suddenly form out of nowhere
