Well the last few championships have been very exciting - 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2010 went down to the final race.

With regards to tracks, yes, its a great old school track. Even recently the challenge has been neutered slightly by the run-off at Turn 1, Spoon and 130r. I mean, take out the barriers and add Istanbul style run-off and the track would be simply alright.

I think Webber said it best when he said that by the time you've done Degner, it feels like the equivalent of 6 laps of Bahrain

I am pleasantly surprised by Senna and Kobayashi incidents at turn 1/Spoon and 130R respectively though. The tarmac run-off makes it safer but it's still slippery enough that you can't expect to get away with a mistake as blatantly as in Bahrain or Hockenheim T1 for example.
Although there were times where ging straight at Spoon meant a new front wing for the least

Good picture, Button was closer to Hamilton than I thought!

Great picture, was there actually any video of that? Here in Canada they stopped the broadcast basically right after everyone finished their laps.

What I'd like to see is a rule stating you have to set a time in Q3 within a certain % of course, can't having someone pootle round 10s off the fastest time. If you don't, you start at the back of the grid.

fair enough. i know domination is a part of f1 and happens once in a while, it happens in every sport and it's deserved, but it's boring to watch :(

Really? I think this year has been amazing. The only thing it's missing is a title battle. We've had on track battles all season, there hasn't been one GP that could really be called boring. Even the worst GPs of this season are miles better than most of last season.

I totally agree that a title race would make things even better, but there are many more things to measure F1 on this season rather than that.

I'd rather see 6 cars attempt to set a time and the remaining 4 sit in the pits than more piles of shit rules brought in to try and create "entertainment".

This.

Except Valencia, which has put on consistently boring races whatever the rules package, which says a lot about the track rather than the series.

Would be better if they were on uber sticky quali tyres.

I'd also accept a more boring qualifying sessions if the races are as consistently good as we get in 2011

I nearly said the same thing in 2003, but I couldn't stand single lap qualy

If they gave them an extra set of soft tyres that only the top 10 get for that session, that seems OK, but moving cars up and down the grid because they didn't feel like running a lap or because that lap was too slow just seems like awfully contrived solutions to what is essentially a small problem.

or just give the whole top 10 the tyres from the best time they set, if they didn't set a time in Q3, then the time of Q2 counts

extra sets of tyres would go in against the cost-cutting

Don't Pirelli moan that they end up with one unused set after the end of the weekend anyway? :?

maybe of the hard tyres, but the teams use all their soft tyres

Races have been more interesting than the results suggest, but I don't think any season where one guy has won 9 of 14 races could ever be called "amazing".

If you had just watched each race individually without knowing they were all part of a championship, for most of them you'd say they were amazing, especially compared to races in other years.

Can't wait for the race, hope we can have a great race in Suzuka, sadly the rain didn't came all the weekend, that would have been great for Bruno, but anyway, nice to see him in top 10 again, after all the problems, hope he can get into the points again, he deserves that.
