I have the testing on the TV and haven't read any websites or heard anybody telling me not to read into the testing times yet, so...

Congratulations Alex Albon, 2023 F1 World Champion.

The shortness of the pre-season testing combined with how close the first race is seems a bit silly

Watching it now. On the one and only push lap Piastri has done, the McLaren looks sluggish and just slow on turn in. It doesn't look like like fuel loads either. The only car to constantly lock up on the down hill hair pin. Even on the explority laps. They are going to be jumped by Aston for sure.

I like the Alpha Tauri head on. Probably the easiest car to identify.

This is the result of the longer calendar. Less testing.

They should increase practice on Friday back to the 3 hours running to compensate for the lack of testing.

Ferrari still bouncing all over the place. Alpine and Aston are as well, but nothing like last year. The Mercedes and Red Bull look the most settled.

I actually like not knowing, as soon as we get to Bahrain, we'll know exactly how things shape up and that likely won't change until 2024, but for now, I'm clinging to the endless possibilities of nothing being confirmed

No doubt my xpert opinion, oh-so-popular, forum highlight posts of "x driver world champion 2023" will be along before too long, just enjoy the week or so before I whip those bad boys out again

And if Hamilton quits Mercedes will poach Norris or Red Bull might poach him to replace Perez. So 2024 will be shit too for them.

Stroll apparently broken both his wrists but only needed surgery in one. AMR believe he'll make it to the first race.

Well, they also think they have a front runner car so I'd take that with a pinch of salt. First race is next weekend.

Am watching Drive to Survive and am 3 episodes in but it was pretty good in season 1 but since then it declined into a cookie cutter soap opera. Ominous music when nothing is happening. Dragging things out. Dragging things out of of context. And it is all over the place.

They focus on something specific for 1 episode but that results in multiple races being covered which will get covered the next episode again but from another focus point.

if it was the arm or above things could get better to handle but wrists are quite stressed while driving at high speeds

we say in MotoGP how things go south when riders rush to go back racing

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Williams seems to have a hybrid issue, even though the rollhoop is showing green. Might just be signing off that they all know protocol in case of an actual failure.

Zhou conked out at pit exit
