Nothing unusual.

well, actually it is, this time of the year. It's never been this cold on this day in May since like somewhere in the 1800s.

while I agree the weather has been horrid here, I must admit I love the seasons. Imagine waking to the same weather every single day of the year.

The problem comes when you realize you've done almost one year round in wet cold climate, and it's already autumn and another 6 months of winter ahead without having enjoyed a proper warmer season.

Depressing for you, maybe.

Williams are about to sign with Mercedes. The Renault engines cost too much.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Indeed. Supposedly about £5m more.

Caterham is also weighing up options. Red Bull's engines will be paid for by Infiniti. Marussia will use Ferrari power.

Isn't Caterham in some sort of agreement with Renault to build Alphine cars in the near future? I assume if they want to keep that agreement they have to stick the renault engines...

Toto is actively trying to sell his stake.

Maybe Williams will get huge discount when they field the amazingly talented Susie Wolff.

A team with such racing pedigree as Williams fields drivers based on talent not just to appease its engine backer.

Oh wait, hang on. Nakajima. Nvm.

Oh I know. But my point is that Williams & Wolff can utilize their relationships to benefit each other.

During the team principle press conference Paul Hembrey said this:
Quote:
If you follow the regulations, on the first of September we're meant to define the specification for next year but as yet we don't really have a full picture of what the cars are going to be like, so you can imagine there's a certain element of shooting in the dark. Having said that, it's a probably a year where we will probably step back, be cautious. There's going to be enough going on for the teams next year as you just heard from Franz, all those changes. So I think it's a year where we'll be stepping back: zero degradation, no pit stops and they can do all the talking.

Pirelli have also threatened to quit unless a new deal is signed soon:

We could debate the exact level of Nakajima, but his level of performance before F1 is multitudes higher than anything Wolff has shown.

If it's within the regulations, it's fine.

From another forum:
Quote:
Sources say governing body the FIA knew about the test, with contracts outside the rules allowing it to happen.
The tyres used at the test were development designs for next season, as well as a new tyre Pirelli wants to introduce at next month's Canadian Grand Prix.

Unfair, very unfair. Also, Ferrari and Red Bull are considering a protest against Mercedes.
