He could have done the proper thing and given up one spot. Now he's lost two for his impudence.

Right decision but the FIA dicking around for so long almost made for unnecessary outcomes had Riccardo overtaken Vettel.

I think that's a fair decision, but the inconsistencies are pathetic.

You mean Verstappen is the Verstappen of the day in the interwebs voting?

Would have lost it to riccardio anyways.
While not fair this was the best option. If it went unpunished he would be 3th. By being fair he be 5th anyways

Honestly I have no idea what's going on. For a moment it looked like FE race here, with all that cutting chicane because of not giving back places

my theory: the actual racing has gotten so uneventful that bernie told charlie to make the officiating as confusing and inconsistent as possible. instant drama

Sometimes people deserve to be told to fuck off.

That aside, I'll admit it's obviously unsavory but what do you expect from a competitor in the heat of the moment when he's clearly being fucked with after someone else's nonsense? Also, let's not pretend that what Vettel said is anywhere near as relevant to the competition as what Max did.

A side note: It's exactly 5 years to the day since this happened:

:mrbean:

So yeah, obviously the race had to give us a Bean worthy finish ;)

So is Vettel getting a penalty for moving under braking or not?

If it was NASCAR he'd cop a huge fine and be sitting out the next race

I'd say a fine is fair....you can't show such disrespect to the referee's in any sport really.

*Edit* Whoooooooo 1000 likes, where's my VIP section bitches? :innocent:

Worst officiating I've seen for a long time today. Starting from car 44 positioning all the way long and quite likely not over yet.

A fine, obviously. But there's no way that would be a suspension.
