Hamilton wins in Brazil while Rosberg reties.

Hamilton retires in Abu Dhabi while Rosberg wins

Imagine that.

Oh, I'm not sure he's that good. Let's seem him in something other than a single seater before doing that

Impossible to compare a current driver with one that raced 45 years ago and died when still at the top. So let's not start with that

Maybe "> Nigel Mansell" though.

Mario Andretti is still the coolest dude in racing. He is a blessing for all of motorsport!

I think by that he means "statistically, Hamilton is closing in on Jim Clark's win record" rather than saying Lewis would pwn Jim in the same car.

Obviously, it goes without saying that had Jim had the chance to have a career as long as Lewis will potentially have, his win ratio might well be out of reach. Dude just couldn't help winning.

And Vergne received a 5 second penalty for his clash with Grosjean.

The day at COTA was good. Got to watch the race from various points, but wasn't able to follow it too closely as I was moving around. Atmosphere lacked something, perhaps it was a perception thing as I've been to Monza and Silverstone multiple times. The engines weren't unimpressive. For sure quieter than the V10s and V8s but certainly louder than I was previously lead to believe.

And finally, glad to see Lewis win.

Great crowd at COTA, maybe Eddie Gossage should take a look. It looked bigger than last years crowd as well.

Pretty good race, this track is definitely the best Tilke track on the calendar right now, plenty of places to pass and it keeps the cars together quite well.

Was I the only one who didn't miss Marussia and Caterham one bit during the race?

I did, especially when there were only 16 cars left after the first lap

John Booth, Jules Bianchi and Kamui Kobayashi yes.

Max Chilton no.

Marcus Erricsson somewhat.

The teams, personnel, the non-visible people who have mouths to feed at home, absolutely.

Very good points, but they were not my intention.

Without these two teams, I got the (irrational) feeling that this was something of an "all-star" race, with only the old, established teams of pre-2010. No clear cut backmarkers (other than Gutierrez, but his team mate had shown good pace).

What is clear (for me) is that Marussia and Caterham brings nothing for the on track action.
