Yall do realize that it's probably a sponsor requirement to have the pink livery for a few races, right? And BWT has been around for quite a while.

Once they leave and we don't have any pink cars for the following decade, we're gonna be posting about how cool it was to have a pink car on the grid.

I've never been massively excited about the launches because we just don't know if we're seeing a Brawn or a HRT and all the talking is a waste of time until Qualifying at the first race, plus they don't even launch in anything close to their actual spec, the launch day is just 45 mins out of their development schedule then they continue adding parts until it's time to put them on the plane to Bahrain. And then some newer parts are probably flown out after that too

Wake me up when the cars are on track, basically... ;)

Indeed. All cars are so dark. I miss the bright cars like the 1999 season. The grid could do with some yellow, orange (not black with some orange, McLaren), bright blue...

And besides all that, most liveries shown are just worsened iterations of previous ones, with the sole exception of Haas.

"hiring a female driver whos famouse for looking good, failing in DTM and almost getting killed in Macau"

"failing in dtm" is a bit harsh. as a junior driver who wasn't even able to compete in all the rounds due to racing in the WEC at the same time, she spent quite a few races hovering around the top ten with two finishes in 9th. not sure i'd quantify that as "failing". if renault hired her to replace piastri or as their reserve driver it'd be a head scratcher for sure, but hiring a legitimate racer with gt3, dtm, WEC, and open wheel experience to their "academy" makes perfect sense

I always thought the 2019/2020 grid colours were great as there were some really distinctive liveries like Ferrari (Red), McLaren (Orange), Renault (Yellow), Force India (Pink), Toro Rosso (Metallic Blue), Mercedes (Black/Silver) etc.

better than what Genii Lotus did before being repurchased by Renault, hiring a Tamara Ecclestone's acquaintance who thought she could actually drive

Looks like Stroll will miss the entire preseason test...because of a cycling accident. He been hanging around Alonso too much already.

perhaps is to create an argument once Alonso starts trashing him on the track "huh I miss some of the testing and I'm yet to get the grip on the car"

of course if it was Fernando sidelined it would be because the car is a dog (which might be in fact)

It´s Formula E weekend in South Africa, so I doubt Vandoorne will have time to be in Bahrain

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Bunch of changes announced for this year.

New wet tyres that don't need blankets, ricer wet weather aerokits to be tested to reduce spray, changes to Jeddah to improve visibility, DRS zone changes on some tracks, winter shutdown, clarification on shortened races and cost cap police.

looks sweet and nice but what about banning tire blankets for good?

are they being blackmailed by their rubber warmer suppliers?

IIRC they tested a dry one some years ago and it couldn't have gotten more negative reviews by all the drivers.

Fuck what the drivers think, do what’s best for the sport, not them.

Feels like they would make the racing worse. Or much better. No midterms.

Last time I read, tyre warmers are being banned as of next year.
