Not sure why Lewis and Mercedes seemed so confused. It's common sense that you'll lose less time in the pits if the cars on the track are crawling around slowly. That's just the luck of a VSC.

pretty good race actually thanks to Haas and the VSC, which usually ruins races but this time it made it more interesting. Lewis couldn't even get close behind Vettel though which isn't good news for passing in general.

Seb won cuz same strategy propelled Lewis last years Spain GP to victory. Of course luck and perfect timing played into Sebs hands
Normal stop costs more time than a one under VSC.
Shame for Hass, could have been their best result to date

I don't see how losing places due to a VSC is really any different to drivers losing spots due to a normal SC or Red Flag.

It's also not as if Lewis is the 1st driver to have lost places due to a VSC, He may be the 1st to have lost the lead but pretty sure others have lost places under a VSC since it was introduced.

It's a part of the sport, A part of the strategy & just like a full SC or Red Flag sometimes it benefits you & sometimes it cost's you. Today Lewis lost out & Vettel gained, Next time it may well go the other way.

which race have you been watching? Cars that are following eachother within a second I do not concider as a 'pretty good race'.

Even Verstappen did not try or could not try anything.

Is it because they just can't because of the airflows? Are engines tuned down a bit to spare them? Are they saving fuel? Or do the drivers not dare taking any risks early in the season? Or the circuit lay out.

Anyway, for a semi street circuit in combination with a first race of the season that was just plain awful.
