Ben has definitely unlocked something new in DC

Noticed this too. In qualifying and for the first couple of laps of the race, the combo was a little rusty, cutting across each other speaking and other such things, but they settled quickly. Once they had a little time in the commentary box together, they have shown the building of a rapport which have serious potential for the rest of the year. Always liked Edwards, so it's good to have him back and mix well with DC.

Totally not worth watching though. They were hyping that feature up all weekend and when they did finally show it, it lasted 5 minutes and was pretty pointless all in all. You would've thought they would make it more interesting since Brundle did 40 laps in that Ferrari. The whole feature turned out to be massively disappointing in my opinion...

I felt that I wasnt excited than before, it is because I knew I wouldnt be watching the race live.

With the highlights, I didn't bother with the race buildup (well I was hoovering as part of my Mothers Day chores!) and went straight into the race. Can't really say anything about the commentatory as I was ony reading the subtitles but there was plenty of information about the strategy and some background information which I liked.

Does anyone know which day MB tested the Ferrari F1 car on Sky Sports? Can someone upload it or point me in the direction of which torrent to download to find it? (e.g before qualifying or before race)

racingfor.me has it uploaded in the Sky pre-race torrent.

Being one of those one million makes me feel elite, and I get to drool over Georgie Thompson every fucking weekend. :beard:

Sky did a good job (and showed the race TWICE before BBC could be bothered).

BBC now have a horrible start and Edwards/DC commentry team is terrible. Please go back to BTCC Ben. Its where you belong!

P.S. If your a Sky customer, but don't have Sky Sports. Go to their FB page before April 5th and enter the comp for a years free Sky (inc Sky Sports F1)

Something that I liked to see. On Sunday the cameras concentrated on the cars lining up on the grid, without going to people in the pits. Just showing the cars built the tension nicely for me and I hope it continues.

I streamed Sky, and this weekend really justified it. The only plus points were Brundle and Ted. Croft spent the entire time shouting and incorrectly IDing cars, Davidson was Davidson, and Thompson needs get off my TV screen. I have the internet for porn - I don't watch motorsport for pretty girls who shouldn't be there.

The graphics were unnecessarily and annoyingly flashy and large. Why present the grid one car at a time, with a see of stars and sparkles? Just show me the damn grid. Advert free? Well not really - they just split the show into several shows on the planner, and then put ads between them to allow them to claim advert free.

Whilst it wasn't a disaster, and it was better than anything ITV ever offered, it's still lower quality than what the BBC presented last season, and they want a lot more money for it. To me, that's a no brainer - I will never be paying for Sky F1.

Sky Live: 874,000 viewers
BBC Highlights: 2.7 million viewers (both official average figures from BARB)

Just before anybody wheels out the "they were not like for like because it was a different time of day" excuse:

2011 Aus GP on BBC1 Live was 2.13 million viewers.

Oh dear Bernie, that seems to have blown a hole right through your theory that having Sky broadcast the events would increase live viewership figures.

I did  when I saw those figures...

China will be the first true like for like test, I'd hazard a guess the figures will be pretty similar. I'm sure the Sky Koolaid drinkers are preparing their excuses already

At the moment, BBC is better. I mean, Jake might be a bit matey and EJ slightly annoying but there's charisma. Sky Sports felt very clinical and dull. They had Brundle driving an F10 and the feature sucked. I mean it lasted about 5 minutes with 30s of footage of him driving. Nothing more.

Yea, I was disappointed by that feature too. Didn't have much in the way of Brundle relaying everything to the viewers. A wasted segment.

Also, who thinks Ant and Georgie are having danger fucks? (Like a danger wank, only with a partner. And on live TV.)

Well, Sergio Perez has to be doing Natalie Pinkham, judging by their body language on Friday :p

I don't understand the fuss with that Georgie.

Ant really did look like a fish out of water with her though, I was waiting for them to both go for the touchscreen together and get the inevitable awkward sorry after you, but it never happened.

Ant and Georgie need to get a room before the weekend and get sex done and dusted, they'll be so much more relaxed with each other once they've seen each others bits.

Georgie was hot maybe 10 years ago. Now she's just make up and suggestive clothing. I'm sure she looks different under the 20 lbs of make up she wears.

Maybe I'm alone here, but why do people get obessed with having some eye candy around the paddock? I have the internet for porn. I don't need some random bint who doesn't know her stuff wandering around for the sole reason of good looks. And given her drink driving conviction, we might as well get Gary Glitter on kids TV as well.

Who cares what the presenters look like. I want people who know what they are talking about and present themselves well.
