Well he removed F1 Driver from his bio last year. Wouldn't read any thing into it. And just because he signed a deal, it doesn't mean anything either. It's F1. |

Makes sense - it's how they managed to get hold of Verstappen from within Merc's grasp a few years ago. Racing drivers don't like standing still Forces Merc's hand nicely now. This really depends on whether Red Bull are thinking of signing him for 2022 or if they'll go the whole hog and pay Williams off to get him now |

And if that holds true, it's quite a dilemma for Russell. Red Bull isn't a championship competitive team for a long time even though they've managed to keep themselves in the top pack for quite a long time. However, the future of Mercedes' team isn't that certain, so sticking with them doesn't seem to be a no-brainer. |

Bottas is a doormat for Mercedes and nothing more than a security blanket for Hamilton. He'd be toiling around at the same pace as Vettel if he wasn't in that beast of a car. So given his perceived doormat status at Mercedes, I'm thinking they wouldn't hesitate to can him in favor of securing Russell long term to avoid the risk of losing their blue chip prospect to a rival. |
