There's no provision for this situation in rules but I can call force majeure. Let me have a think.

I'm quite happy with how my season is going. I think I'm starting to move up the table.

Right then. Force majeure round 2. With the likelihood of neither Caterham and Marussia showing up to any of the final races, there are 4 members that are impacted with picks from either of these teams but only for one race. Thinking about what we can do, I am offering two solutions and would like everyone assistance in deciding which to use...

1) The existing pick stays and the 4 members will be awarded the number of points based on that driver's average finishing position for the season until now. So if Marcus Ericsson has an average finish of 18th then the player will be scored 18 points per race picked.

2) Best 18 of 19 races count to final scores for everyone. This means everyone drops one (bad) score, the 4 members who have a Caterham or Marussia for one of the last three races will have that race counted as a dropped score.

I think option 1 is the most fair. It's a game of luck, and having the bad luck that your driver retires is part of the game.

I agree, this is also my preferred choice as it will likely impact the overall competition far less.

I would want the 2nd option obviously, but let's keep it fair

Better than average race for me. Of course DR has three wins so few members gained on me with predictions on him. But not bad overall. Of course lots of other races have gone bad for me.

Fuck if I go one like this, I will lose my last spot! Vettel better have engine problems in Abu Dhabi.
