I almost always completely ignore the "new teams" and therefore I'm not much aware of anything regarding them. I think I have read something about Kova being back at Caterham alongside Giedo which will keep having his father in law injecting money into the team.

Marussia is pretty much settled with the same line up, AFAIK, with Chilton's daddy also injecting even more money on the team and Bianchi supported by Ferrari.

Then, I guess it's fair to assume it's the end of the line for Charles Pic?

I hope that's the case as, imo, he wasted a seat for way too long in F1, even if not a remotely decent one.

Pic is a lot better than many give him credit for, I think Renault would want to keep him on for another season, especially with the new regulations. He has a multi-year deal but Caterham has not yet confirmed him for 2014. You're right that it's two from three of Pic, Van der Garde & Kovalainen at Caterham.

Marussia's probably Chilton - it might just be who pays the most.

And not only because Maldonado is in F1 for another season but it also means the Quantum deal fell tru and Lotus is in dire need of money.

I understand that Chilton could be off to Force India.

That, perhaps, would be an ever bigger disappointment..

Regarding Pic, I thought he drove a great season last year but don't feel he has impressed much with Caterham.

Chilton has said that Magnussen signing for McLaren has probably helped him stay in F1 with Marussia for 2014. Damn you Kevin, damn you you!

According to Taki Inoue, on Facebook, Hulk has signed for FI.

Wow not a bad deal for both drivers given the situation (aka Maldonado stealing them jobs, and Di Resta losing his one).

would be cool to see Maldonado, Di Resta and Perez (not to mention Montoya) all joinig the indycar series.

Indycar already has Sato as the resident wrecker, so Maldonado need not join.

Mexican sources reporting that Perez has signed a two year deal with Lotus.

The journalist reporting this has followed Perez for many years, pre-F1.
