Can we start putting sources on claims like this because I can’t find confirmation or other rumors on this

I agree - can't find anything either.

Paul Page's account was hacked a month or so back and it said that MSC had died

The German press (mainly the tabloid side) has been reporting on 'sources' saying he is seriously ill, so that's definitely enough proof for social media.

Helmut Marko was asked about the rumours this weekend and flatly refused to comment.

Being ill doesn’t mean he passed away yet.

Saying stuff like “latiffi out of Williams” is something you can post without a source imho. Saying someone died should come with a source. Again imho.

Nyck De Vries has signed with Alpha Tauri, so Gasly should be heading to Alpine.
That means one seat left at Williams, and one at Haas with Ricciardo and Schumacher not with a confirmed seat yet and possibly both out for 2023.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/formu ... g-cap.html

I know it's a Daily Mail article, but there does appear to be some good research in it;

-The alleged breach is around £1 million in size.
-Red Bull's initial belief was that they were about £4 million under - the FIA is quibbling over what is and isn't part of the cap.
-One of the issues surrounds staff who were kept on the payroll whilst officially signed off as sick (this won't be to do with Newey and his bike crash, as his salary would be exempt from the cap anyway).

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

A big nothing burger it is. And they’ll do nothing except clarify the rules for the future

What the fuck was Toto blabling then about them being more than 5% over budget? I'm starting to really hate that guy, only playing shady games and being a bad loser. The sooner he is out of F1 the better.

I would hope that this is allowed, and not counted as part of the cost cap - anything else would encourage staff to keep working while sick.

Toto is a cancer within the Mercedes team and F1 in general. Niki kept him in check but since Niki passed away he could spread and really do his vile work

FIA demonstrates administrative blue balls by pushing the issuing of certificates of compliance to Monday. Apparently it's 'complicated' to finish the thing that you've been working on for months.

i think the problem as suggested here was that RB hired additional staff to fill in while the others were out sick, and RB decided not to ask the FIA if that was covered in the regs. asking forgiveness rather than permission type deal.

having followed f1 long enough i'm always suspicious about "negotiations" or "delays" etc. i want to give RB the benefit of the doubt, but that nagging voice in the back of my head is imagining shady backroom discussions on how to make a 5% overspend look more like 1%, and then come out and say they've "come to an agreement" a la ferarri 2019
