What FTA channel is going to show Friday practice in Germany? I looked at the Sport1 schedule for Friday the 16th of march but there is no F1 listed :? As long as I can remember the Friday practice has been live on free to air TV in Germany (on ARD, ZDF, N-tv or Sport1)

With BBC only showing half the races I really need a German channel to show it.

Well now I'm even MORE jealous about not being able to afford it.
(And even if I could my housemates are pretty anti-Murdoch, can't say I blame them with all thats been going on recently..., but the chances of begging to switch to Sky when we only have Freeview are minute)

Oh well, I'm sure you lot won't rub it in and capture a lot of exciting action I won't see, won't you? :p

We'll be paupers together. Either that or I have to find a way of convincing the missus that spending the whole of every other Sunday at Glorfindel's.

Going to try to make these this year instead of forking out more money for Murdoch! :p

Sky's F1 channel schedule for Melbourne/Sepang:
http://f1-viewpoint.blogspot.com/2012/0 ... weeks.html

Looks like were getting GP2 (And maybe GP3 when it starts?) qualifying live & that at least the St.Pete INdycar round will also be on the channel.

Were getting season reviews shows but no full races or race highlights which is a bit dissapointing.

Whose season review will that be though?

Surely Bernie won't just let them put out the official FOM season review DVD while it can still be bought in shops? :?

Viasat Motor (A Scandanavian channel) is currently broadcasting 60min season review programs (Upto 1999 at present). I've seen a few of them, there in English (1996 was voiced by Simon Taylor) & seem to have been produced by FOM (Going by the FOCA copyright message at the end) so I woudn't be surprised if these are what Sky show.

Also thinking back I recall Screensport used to broadcast season reviews when they broadcast F1 in the early 90s, Pretty sure they were put together/provided by FOM, Guess Sky would have these avaliable?

He did, Version recently shown on Viasat was different to the VHS review in both content & commentary though.

Apparently MTV3 MAX HD will show this year all sessions live unlike last year when only the race was shown. As for me I haven't had TV for years so I'll continue with MTV3 Katsomo and their streams. Incidentally, the last FTA race shown in Finnish television was Brazilian GP in 2006.

Not a problem if you use a UK based proxy. E.g. www.daveproxy.co.uk or google for another one.

I use an app for firefox called anonymoX. It's pretty good, there are some UK IPs available there.

Application sent to the parish council to get trees hacked back so we can get a signal. Just missed the monthly meeting, so have to wait until March 14th before they consider it. Currently on a monthly Sky Go package. Sadly, the Internet frequently cuts out meaning that trying to watch Soccer Saturday this afternoon is difficult. Lord knows what an F1 race will be like.
Honestly, my life is just one long running comedy.

You're in the UK right? you don't need permission unless the tree's are covered by a TPO or on public property.

Should check with your County Council as to TPO status of them, if they're not covered, prune away, Parish Council can't do jack shit if the tree isn't covered by a TPO, they will try and convince you they have the final say, but they don't.

Where I grew up we were surrounded by trees, everybody assumed they were covered by TPO's, but one day the property owner turned up and chopped them all back, my mum kinda of liked the tree's (they gave us privacy) so she complained to the Council only to be told there was nothing they could do to stop it.

Some County Councils have different rules, but generally Parish Councils have little say in the matter, they may pretend they have the power to veto things, but in reality they're little more than gatekeepers.
