now that Mercedes won constructors championship they wouldn't mind to see both cars starting from the pit lane

This should be mandatory for all championship winners if championship is won before the last race

plus the cars would be shown during the whole race overtaking and so, making it good for sponsors

That's debatable, depends on the director

One of the FOM directors is blatently "film the leaders, to hell with those outside the top 6" and others are more likely to throw back through the field to see what else is going on.

Both Lewis and Rosberg have been semi-ignored on charges through the field this year
Lewis barely showed up in Spa (Japan was better though) and Rosberg wasn't really figuring much in Malaysia until around Kimi-biffing time

I thought I'd remedy this by downloading the on-board feed and see if I could see more of it, but that's even worse, it's like they've fired someone responsible for it and just left it on the leading car and not bothered directing it.

To be honest sometimes I'm annoyed when we've barely seen how the leaders were doing, and they follow a battle for 17th. It would be educative to show some leader onboards every once in a while to assess how hard they're pushing (or not).

If it's a battle for 17th vs the leaders not battling, showing the actual overtaking and keeping the gap between the two mercedes shown as a graphic is fine.
If it's a midfield battle and the 2nd Mercedes is within the DRS zone of the other, then yeah they should switch back

There are multiple items that F1 could use from MotoGP's TV production... like the semi-interactive leaderboard and uploads of past races on youtube.

But this is F1, it won't change anything or much.

When I'm watching NASCAR I actually really like the graphics they have with the positions above the car on the track floating around and the gap between 2 cars shown fluctuating in real time.

I guess this is a lot easier to do on an oval than a longer road course, but it's still cool watching it go up and down in real time and not having to wait for an official sector point.

Yes and Nascar also has gyro-cam so not everything they do could or should be carried over to F1

Did I mention that?
Just the one graphics-related thing I mentioned would be enough

F1 needs to get on this 360 video trend too, the stuff I've seen Formula E doing with 360 onboards is lush, I'd love to see F1 doing the same with some of their on-board views.
Less 20 minute replays of every on-board angle of the start during live racing and more youtube onboards please FOM?

I often laugh in the NASCAR broadcasts when they get all excited about the cars "visibly closing" when the gap graphics are going the other way...

They're probably guestimates, and it is dumbed down for your average redneck, but it is far better than the package f1 offers. My dad will now only watch a gp if he has access to the live timing as well as the pictures, he says its boring because of the aforementioned lack of on screen info.

I remember back in the 90's you had to wait a bit until they display how many laps remaining, who went out of the race and all that stuff, today with hi-res display and info all around you get almost everything, don't even bother watching just like I do with nascar when I check and is Ky Busch or Kevin Harvick leading haha
