Well, this is what you get if a team is dominating by a margin, they can play it safe.

was a 3 for me

1. When even the incidents are boring, you know it's a fail.

3, and I'm only rating it that highly for the Massa/Ericsson battle. Other than that nothing exciting happened. I hope the simpletons are happy with their free passes caused by the "no skill/no racecraft required" DRS. Not to mention the BS fuel/tyre/engine/gearbox saving that happens in every race now. Lifting & coasting is not racing.

I give it a B for boring.

But I think watching the Mercedes teammates within a few seconds of each other is 10x better than watching Vettel pull out a double digit lead within 2 laps as in years past.

One mistake from Hamilton and the race changes. So it was something to keep a lookout for.

For Canadian standards it was not good.

For current F1 standards it was not terrible.

but still, it was very dissappointing, so a 3 from me.

Everytime the Mercedesses are close to each other the only thing we hear are the engineers telling to save this, to do that, to be careful with this etc etc... I think they are simply not allowed to race eachother.

and what was it with the wall of champions? It seemed they drove far away from it, it looked there was always at least one metre between car and wall.

I dunno i thought there was just enough going on to keep my attention with massa and vettel coming through the field.
Incidents with hulk/seb mehri/grosjean and Kimi helped too

Also the director seemed switched on and pretty much ignored the mercs until the end.

I'd say 5/10

Not much better than Spain, 4/10, mainly because of Massa and Vettel.

5. Once you come to terms with the fact that we are never seeing a battle for the lead ever again this year, the rest of the race had nice entertainment and a couple of fun events.

I gave it a 2 - it was a very dull race overall which is a shame because normally Canada provides a good show. My score was only bumped up because of Vettel and Massa.

I think this was the first race since Australia (maybe half of Malaysia) I've actually watched. I'll keep trying to find better things to do with my Sundays from now on, I think ...
