Lol! I don't remember any extreme reaction from Kimi fans, well, to be honest I was kinda out of the forums recently. Did I missed something?

Interestingly, 2007 was one of rare Spa weekends when it didn't rain in any session. Similar years were 2002 and 1999 and those races weren't really cracking either.

Really looking forward to this race! Without doubt one of the best race tracks on earth! Altough I like the old Spa more. Would be nice to see some rain during the race and qualifying to mix up the grid!

If you didn't know what happened at the first corner last year, you would be looking at the photo on first page and thinking 'How the Hell did that happen?' The physics of that photo are hard to understand.

If we're gonna go that way, today we have the huge tarmac run offs. In 1962, if you made a mistake, you could easily kill yourself and destroy one of Wallonia's country side houses, in the process.

I've had a few accidents at Masta whilst playing GPL. Pretty sure I've spun on the exit and hit the house before. Scary to imagine what it must have really been like.

Imagine running 200mph down what is effectively a country road aiming directly at a house and turning in completely blind. Stuff for the brave.

Nowadays there's tarmac everywhere.

lol, running against that 'silver thing' would probably have even graver consequences than running in the house :-D

We spend too much time comparing yesteryear with the standards of today. What it must have really been like back then, is normal.

I'm sure I've read a story about a sports car race in Spa where one driver when passing to the other mentioned to the other to watch out for pieces of body out the back. The other driver went out expecting to find the remains of a crashed car, but instead it was the remains of a marshal. May be an urban myth.

If I remember it was Ickx being told that. Not an urban myth unfortunately.

Edit: No it was Hans Stuck telling Jochen Mass that.
