And I was just about to write how Fridays seem to be incident free nowadays and how it's weird, because when you look at some old weekends from the late 90s or early 2000s, the practice sessions used to be crashfests. Nowadays they are on rails and even a spin is a rare sight.

I blame simulation work, driver training/prep since early career, budget caps, no T-car, and overall heightened levels of professionalism of everyone involved. Free practice isn't as much of a learning playground. |

Also at this level you don't expect many driver errors any more. Those 99 cars were awful - narrow, twitchy, rock hard tyres and no grip. |

that's why they're looking to a full discard of practices in the future, cars arrive with setups pratically done and they do is upgrade validation |
