Scheivlak is actually the hardest corner on tyres according to Pirelli calculations, so it should be fine. Besides, I can confirm the track is difficult to overtake on in my Peugeot, I don’t see it being any better in F1, haha. That being said, it’s easy to make a mistake around here. Combine that with some rain and a weird strategy and it could be a good race. Or not. You never know with F1 anyways! The track changes did actually result in a lot more overtakes in a couple of the GT3 races, whilst Fórmula Regional was rather dull. So we’ll just have to wait and see |

Tire wear could be one thing that somehow makes this race interesting against the odds but we know how drivers love to bitch about tires and blame everything on Pirelli so that's not exactly a good thing. |

brand new tracks typically create good racing as drivers learn the track. one of the reasons last season had several good races |

Judge will decide if the Grand Prix will be allowed to go ahead after another last minute tree-hugger lawsuit. Likeliness of this winning is below zero. Earlier lawsuits over this where already rejected or the disputed data is been ruled valid by the judges. Also, no way in hell a judge would cancel such a big event 3 days before it starts. Best case scenario for the tree-huggers is that it will be evaluated after September 6th. Canceling now means the Netherlands will never be able to host any major event for decades to come. Say goodbye to a potential World cup or Euro cup bid. No UEFA competition finals. Not even environmentally friendly event will be win its bid as no-one wants to risk that event getting canceled so close to the start either. |

It may be a bore fest, but like Imola, I'm glad that they are back at an old school track that is actually interesting even if no one can overtake. Is sand getting in everything still an issue like it was back in the day? I'll take a few engines going pop for the nostalgia. |

If they have a massive case they will win but their arguments have already been pushed aside by other judges. A judge wont rule against it because it might endanger potential future events but he will rule in such a way that the event will go on but the case will be reviewed afterwards preventing any future GP's. A cancellation now means no other event will risk holding it in the Netherlands and no judge wants to be the one to cause that. Only thing stopping the 2021 Dutch GP is a natural disaster or a terrorist attack on the track. |

I'd rather have a new race at a classic track like zandvoort with not much overtaking, than a new gp in Vietnam like last year. Remember that race? Exactly! It was so boring everyone forgot about it and we'll never race there again. |

It’s about nitrogen emissions, which they currently don’t have enough data on to come to a proper verdict. Don’t get me wrong, the track definitely cheated a little with the pre-calculated numbers. There is new research being done as we speak as part of another lawsuit and it's highly probable the track license will be tightened accordingly. Which is only right in my opinion, because the track is within a nature reserve after all. In daily exploitation this isn’t likely to have too much of an impact though, especially now the track closes for over a month in order to prepare for F1, whilst it usually was rented every single day. So yes, nature conservation is important, but this specific lawsuit isn’t that constructive in achieving that goal |

Wonder if Copenhagen GP had been any good? It seems the project was dead even before Magnussen moved to race in America. If there was to be a race at Kymi Ring, it should happen before Bottas retires. I'd say 99% of the casual viewers stop watching F1 once that happens (though 98% have already stopped watching after Kimi retires). And who knows when or if there will be a new Finnish F1 driver. |

Isnt Kimi's son already karting? Still amazing how many F1 drivers with at least relative succes Finland has produced. IMHO the Netherlans is more a circuit racing nation than Finland (more Rally) but we only have the Verstappen's to be proud of and the rest is mainly meh or outright embarrassing (albers). |
