Imagine if it´s Max and he misses Spa and Zandvoort...

judging by what happened to him in the past 2 races, makes more sense let him race alone and grab the points they took out from him

So then Albon might be making his way to Spa if this is true...

His instagram is showing him jogging, jetski'ing and with his GF. No pictures of him at parties.

Kinda expecting it to be Tsunoda but fearing Max. Because the last 2 races already have been a big fuck you to any Max fan and anyone desperately wanting a new World champion. So why stop there?

technically it could still mean Albon is driving. If he replaces the driver that has covid, the statement is still valid :whistling:

maybe Red Bull is trying to lay the groundwork to dismiss one of their drivers and putting on the account of covid

Should this kind of reckless driving be encouraged and praised by commentators on live TV? F1 seems to think it should, by promoting this short vid on the official channel.

I think it's not big balls or commitment or remarkable, especially in a timed session. It's just disregard for the life of a fellow racer. What if the broken down car slides into your path on its own oil, or from a seized engine like happened to Panis that very year at Austria? What if you slide on his oil and t-bone yourself on his gearbox?

Forget the driving. It should be illegal to crop videos like that. It already makes me mad that they always zoom old 4:3 footage to fill 16:9 screen. And now this mobile aspect ratio shit. F1 channel is worse than Disney+.

If Lewis did that tomorrow, people would be screaming for to have his super license revoked and for him to be banned for life.

Lets not forget that occurred 500m from a fatal accident that occurred when a driver hit another unsighted driver at close to full speed.

What an utter piece of nonsense. I know your hate towards Finns like Räikkönen is irrational and deep in the core of all your thinking but this is beyond any reason at all.

First of all, Kimi and McLaren were asked to see the stewards after the session due this incident and they got a warning.

Secondly, they changed the rules how to react to yellows and smoke and how to be even more cautious during practice sessions. If Hamilton does this act tomorrow, he should get a penalty for unsafe driving as the rules stand now. And so should any other driver in that matter too.

Thirdly, what fatal accident was at that location in 2002? You think F1 driver should have perfect hindsight and also see +15 years in to the future too? In 2002 that Eau Rouge/Raidillon area was freshly paved with tarmac and considered as one of the safest corner compared to how dangerous it was in 1998 and 1999 with all those massive crashes there. Your argument about fatal crash applies only for post 2019 F2 Saturday events, not the ones before that since nobody saw that Hubert/Correa incident coming. Or maybe you did, but decided not to do anything to prevent it just so you could go have your monologues how you always know the best, captain Hindsight.

And main thing is that the person who cropped that video should be locked in a very dark room with scotty and watch most boring F1 races non-stop indefinitely.

Hey, let's post all the videos of Schumi running people off the road or Hunt being a c**t and shame them by modern standards too!

It's a video released by the official F1 channel literally yesterday. It's not like I'm reposting it just to shame it (but this is the internet, so the worst intentions have to be assumed by default, amirite).

Of course the standards have changed in 20 years, I'm not a dumbfuck looking for reasons to be outraged out of any context.

What I'm saying is, that's all the more reason not to release it again now, with the original praising commentary, and packaged as a cool brave piece of driving, when we know from a real case that this sort of shit at that location can kill someone dead.

There's plenty of tastier action from Spa to release. It's not even an old-school battle or moment that you can't ignore (like Schumacher or Senna moves), it's pointless and insignificant but still put forward. But I guess they get their engagement - positive and negative - now and that's all that counts on social media, controversial shit that gets idiots like me all worked up about.

Please join the club. Whenever I see an F1 short, I click thumbs down systematically regardless of content.

At least, here we have single-car action that stays in frame. More often, it will be a two-car battle where you can't see either car properly anymore. Pointless, redundant, silly, and just plain dumb. We truly live in wonderful times.

funny, several drivers do that today not only in F1 but in junior formulas simply because they think cars are safe enough and nothing might happen, until it happens

:slaphead: does you ass get jealous of the shit that comes out of your mouth? Where in my post did I mention Kimi? I didn't mention him at all. What I said had nothing to do with Kimi you fucking moron.

My criticism was directed at the FOM and FIA for glorifying the video. It wouldn't have mattered if it was Kimi, Lewis or Olivier Fucking Panis in that video, it's so dumb to glorify driving through a double yellow flag zone, unsighted at 200mph. Whether its 2002 or 1952.

Ah, ok. So if Lewis crops a video like that people would want him to be suspended?

Actually that would be a suitable penalty for the crime that video is.

But then again, your comment, that I quoted, never mentioned anything about video, so probably go back to school and learn to express yourself more accurately rather than just manifest things out from the rural backcountry of your head. You could do a lot better in your life if you knew more about literacy and manners.

Pretty good chance for rain, but as we know, even 200% probability is not enough with F1. The last wet race here was in 2010, although there have been 5(?) wet qualifyings since. But maybe F3 will get its share of drizzle.

French and German model expect quite some rain on Sunday. American model only expects light showers.

Should be pretty foggy in the morning during the entire weekend.

Nowadays there would have been red flag anyway as soon as Panis stopped his car.
