Have to give credit when credit is due. That's brilliant.

I honestly still don't understand how nobody did actual jail time for that. At least Briatore and Piquet should've spent some time in the shade, and I'm not talking suspended sanctions because that's bullshit for rich powerful people with connections. (and yes, Piquet too. When your employer asks you to do something illegal, even under pressure, you refuse and you report that shit - failing to do so and complying makes you an accomplice).

If you or I, average schmucks, actively partook in any kind of con game that involved that much money on the table at such a high profile event, we would get the book up the ass, and then hardly manage to pass first screening for most jobs afterwards.

Though I would laugh my ass off if at some point in the future, a driver is candidly told to "PUSH NOW! PUSH" by his engineer, just to accidentally crash a couple corners later.

I remember talking about that at the time and there was a map showing the complete lack of cranes on those four corners.

Either the hit caused the leak or the leak caused the hit.

I thought that was fairly well known? I think even Charlie Whiting said in the run up to the first race, that any crash there would be an instant safety car.
Considering the only other crash there has been another renault the year after in first practice, they were probably right not to worry about cranes there.

why didn't Vettel screwed up in 2012 and 2013 like he's doing now? What an annoying prick

Ermmm.... he didn't?

Just from memory in 2012 Vettel hit Karthikeyan in the Malaysia race, hit anything and everything in Abu Dhabi (but somehow still got a podium) then chopped off Senna on the first lap in Brazil. I'm sure there are others I'm missing and haven't even thought about 2013.

Pretty sure if he made mistakes, he wouldn't be driving for Ferrari and in a position to make more mistakes

I think Horner had it right a few weeks ago - driving for Ferrari is totally different to driving for Red Bull. It's a whole lot more pressure, and if Vettel's shown anything in his career, it's that he doesn't handle huge pressure brilliantly. He's not alone in that, mind - Michael was the same

He screwed up tons, have you forgotten 2010? The difference is he recovered from those mistakes because in 2012 (like in 2010) his rivals also made lots of errors... like Alonso in Japan, or McLaren with their pits stops, or Maldonado and Grosjean wiping out Vettel's rivals...

I guess racing for Ferrari does make a big difference. If he doesn't win this year it'll be Alonso story with Vettel
