At least it's the boredom that lasts less in the season.

Trouble is that I'm not sure the race will last long enough for me to iron my work shirts for the week.

And there's a sentence I didn't think I'd ever be saying.

One thing to look forward to, is whether we will finally smash Montoya's fastest lap ever recorded in an F1 car: 1m 19.525s (262.641kph)

I don't think he current cars have the top speed to achieve this, but who knows. Unless they do stupid fast stuff like going wide open through Lesmo2 and through Ascari

At least starting the DRS zone halfway down the straight will hopefully prevent cars from being twenty car lengths in front by the first corner.

It would be funny if they could do the opposite and close it half-way down the straight. You get the tow, then as soon as you're alongside you come to a stop and remain side-by-side with no extra momentum as the braking zone arrives.

No wait, silly me, I'm just reinventing normal racing where cars can follow each other closely and get a normal tow without any DRS.

What is this madness? Burn him!

So, is Stroll still driving for Williams this weekend or did I miss a few announcements?

I think we have to assume that none of the predicted seat swaps are happening; Thursday is a bit late to be announcing things.

No rain but Friday will be rained out.

i like 20km from the circuit. I can take some friends, sneak in and go pee on the track during nighttime, but i don't think we would accomplish much.

Speaking of "whoops", Ricciardo's got engine problems with his brand new upgraded Renault engine.

Fucking hell, that was massive.

Just dropped it on the wet track right in the breaking area. Crash of the year right there.

Edit

DRS didn't close when hit breaks on a wet bit.
