Why would you want to remove the only section of the track that produces some wheel to wheel racing?

I'd change the last two corners, make that part to what Turkey had from backstraight to the turn 20.

Those last three corners at Istanbul Park felt awkward and unnatural, there was little flow to them. Much like a 1980's American F1 street circuit. The same is true of the turn 12-15 section at COTA.

I honestly think those sections were designed more for allowing a car that's being dive-bombed off the straight to defend at the next corner (and again to the car behind the corner after that) than they are for a flowing laptime.
We've seen more multi corner side by side battles here than at most places too, so I guess they work.

If any section annoys me it's the maggots/becketts rip off from turn 4, just because the cars usually divebomb each other in turn 1, potentially can brave it out side by side through turn 3, then have to go single file through that section in an area of the track that doesn't really promote a smooth, definitive end point to the overtaking battle, just filtering into single file like you're coming out of a car park or something.

Still, Kimi's overtake in turn 3 in 2012 is one of the best passes in modern F1.

I get why people are down on this race, championship nearly over and higher downforce meaning that it probably won't race as good as it has previously. (Also it's a track Hamilton does well at, so that's probably a big part of it for TBK Hate :p )
But meh, they don't hand out titles In October ;)
And it might rain.....Fabs?

Hang on. That's two posts in a row without mentioning your hatred of Jason Plato. Please stick to your stereotype or you'll cause the forum to implode.

Pretty neat that Hartley will be making his race debut 50 years to the day since Denny Hulme won the 67 world title

Not sure if these are just transport wheels for the Ferrari, but they need to be the race wheels tbh.

Okay I've seen "Hartley"s thrown about in this thread and all I thought about was Nina Hartley (NSFW). Thought she would be a guest star or something. Don't judge me, I used to be a horny teenager not long ago. And I used to get really warmed up about F1 too back then.

Every man will eventually stop being a teenager. A real man will never stop being horny.
