So showers are possible this weekend, it's hard to predict.

But mostly dry forecast.

This is cool. Not sure he'll be on the main pit-stop crew during the race, although the crazy maniac is definitely the kind of person who could get the hang of it in a week-end and send it - not to mention he used to be (still is?) a mechanic.

Commentators saying "Spa has its own eco-system so weather is hard to predict here" is the Belgian Grand Prix version of "Remember, at Talladega the start/finish line is further towards turn 1 and not in the tri-oval as traditional at other tracks" in NASCAR

It's overall for the entire country this weekend. They don't know if there will be showers. But showers are always interesting :D

I know I'm being an old whiney piece of shit here, but is anybody else bothered by the red/yellow curbs and tyre barriers? Feels too "Spanish" or "warm" if that makes sense. That, and the tarmac, have removed the "forest" feel that the track used to have.

red and yellow are the colours of the Waloon region the track is situated in - that's the only reason really.

the most 'welcoming' kerbs ever were those in Adelaide in the latter years of the event.

those collors can suit either for Pirelli as they are now title sponsor for this race

but IMO FIA should state that for sanction Grade 1 tracks kerbs must be red and white

No I like that at least the colour is different. Same with the Italian flag on Monza's kerbs :)

I thought it was DHL initially, but it could be Shell as well.

And the blue-and-white kerbs that used to be seen at Silverstone.

35 place grid penalty for Vandoorne. They waited just long enough to get him sign the contract for 2018.

Right on time to spice up the drivers' interview, like at Silverstone!

Not even that. The only rain comes tomorrow. After Friday night, nothing. https://www.windy.com/50.436/5.972?50.0 ... m:e3eagk6t
Well, there's still Suzuka and Brazil left that often provide changing conditions.
